I hope all goes well for your son on Friday Pam. He must have been in an awful lot of pain. At least this dentist seems to know what she's doing and has acted quickly. Sue
I think it's such a shame it happened at all. Teeth out in your early 20s is hard anyway, without the pain of the abcesses.

Sounds dreadful, Pam. In fact it sounds bad enough to warrant emergency treatment at the hospital..........in which case it

would be far less expensive, on the N.H.S.

My car passed it's MOT. I nearly fell over when they told me. I was amazed - but very happy.

It can be managed by the dentist........she says.....and she gave us the feeling of confidence

NHS would be cheaper but the treatment will only start in July....then when is the next appointment?!?

When I've had a session of treatments I've always been able to book a serries of appointments.

I couldn't leave him that long....thank goodness for 0% finace

They offered for me to put in a complaint....I just think we will

Another bit of good news.....I passed my bike theory test yesterday :D

Those hazard perception tests are a pain.....they tell you to click on any hazzard but you only get marked on developing hazards.

If you click too frequently they can give you a zero because they think you are cheating!!!!

In a busy street area with people and cars everywhere......there are hazards everywhere....in the practice ones I kept getting zero.

Same on the country lanes when you can't see.

Luckily in the test I didn't

Well done Pam. All you need now is a Harley Davidson and you'll be a Hell's Angel in no time!!!!!!!!

I'm happy for you Meg......another weight off your mind.

She can always borrow her husband's. Then video the reaction when she brings it back.

Well done Pam and glad your car passed its MOT Meg

Congratulations to you. It's nice to hear of some good luck.

Sorry I haven't been posting for a bit. I've been running around after my cats.

I took them for their annual injections and they both had problems with their teeth that require them to go under amaesthetic. The big one needs to have a back tooth extracted so He's going in for that in a couple of weeks and he's to go on a course of antibiotics. Oh the joys of wrestling him into submossion every day to give him pills!

The little one had lost quite a lot of weight and the vet was worried he might have thyroid problems so he had to have full blood tests.

The blood tests came back as fairly normal except that's there's a high white cell count. The vet say that could be caused by the infection we know about in his mouth so he's now on a 10 day course of antibiotics and I've to gradually change his food to kitten food which apparently has more nutrients. Hopefully that will do the trick, clear up any infection and help him gain enough weight to get his dental work done.

If after the antibiotics the white cells are still high then there is the possibility that he may have leukaemia.

It's so hard to give them the antibiotics isn't it? Cleo is a sweet, little elderly lady cat, but try to get any medicine into her and she changes into a hissing monster. She senses us approaching and retreats to the futhest point under the bed where it's impossible to reach her.If we manage to catch her it takes two of us to hold her down! Sue

The vet plus trained nurse had trouble giving my big one his worm tablet. The trouble with antibiotics is that every pill counts - every one must go down the throat.

Neither of my cats will eat any food, even their favourite morsels, if they're contaminated in any way, so I can't give them the pills sneakily.

Dane wolfs dpwn his. I reckon he just loves the tablets. Dave thinks it may just be the swiss roll they're hidden in that appeal to him. We get the blood results back on Tuesday. Another £123 gone and may be a bill for £200 for a neurologist. Not only do pets cause you worry, they endanger your finacial health as well. Dane seems quite at ease with it though.
