I see it is hot there......56 last night when I looked.....a hot night for home

68 in Lancaster as I post.....for this time of night that is warm.

We've had thunder in the distance and a slight shower which relieved the heat....we've been in the 90's but due to the humidity feels a lot hotter.

Just going to collect my son and his girl friend.

They've been to Sea World for the day.

It suits me better here. I really can't stand a lot of heat. I'd like the pool though.

phew, anyone would think it was summer!

a lot of pond watching going on here, huge hornets using it as a stop off, beautiful creatures, and apart from the tens of small damson flies we have and froglets

at least four southern hawk dragon flies emerge and fly off, plus an unusla dark blue thick bodied dragon fly visiting - plus the red kites are regulars for chicken wings in the garden, I suppose I shouldnt have started that as now they call every loudly if I forget! it really is more interesting than tv! off on hols soon - I am hoping that isnt the week Darius is on TV...mm

wish I was outside in the sunshine instead of stuck indoors, wearing a jumper, fleece over my shoulders because the air con is soooo cold.
I just can't imagine Nina surviving in cold air conditioning. I need some of it here so we could just swop. I've not had the internet since before lunch yesterday. It's funny how virgin cable breaks down as soon as it gets really hot.

ours seems to be coping, we have just been upgraded to the 10mbps -although I shouldnt really say that..unless I can find some wood quick.

I think we've found in the past that ours goes down far more often than yours. The TV was off as well but that wasn't a problem.
Son and his girlfriend went to see Take That last night at Old Trafford Cricket Ground and after all the fine weather we've had, it was torrential rain for over an hour!! Lady Gaga who was supposed to be on from 7.30 until Take That came on at 8.45 never showed up. Apparently she was on at Glastonbury, on the Friday, and rumours were she was "worse for wear" and didn't make it. Anyway, the rain stopped minutes before TT came on and even though they were soaked, they said it was fantastic. Mark, who was supposedly only going to accompany Lucy, was really impressed and was heard to say," he'd definately go to see them again!" They said it was like having a whole circus on stage and the elephant at the end was amazing. Sue
I like Take That as well. I really can't be bothered with stadiums though. You often end up just watching the tv screens.
Lady Gaga is crazy. Glad Take That were good.

True.

I've never seen the point of stadium gigs unless you can get really good positions/seats to appreciate the whole show not just what the camera is picking out for you, or you don't mind being further back and just soaking in the atmosphere intent on having a mini party with your pals while all you're actually watching is a big screen.

We dropped the kids off at 11:30 then drove to the coast and we had huge downpours on and off all day.....mainly on

When we got to the Manatee park it had shut for the day

We may....or may not try again......

The manatee just heard you were going. Sneak up next time. Itwas a bit difficult when we had both read books that the other hadn't yet. I'm reading a Karen Miller book - same person who wrote accidental sourcerer

I had a really hard time getting online today (Orange). It's very unusual.

I wonder if there's too much traffic or problems because of the weather.

It's really clammy here. The forecast is for thunderstorms so if I disappear, I'll have switched off until it subsides.
