The Mirror's website have posted a really interesting interview on youtube. Amelle and Keisha talk about Girls, the new album, the line-up changes and Mutya's departure and subsequent lack of contact.

 

 

I honestly think that after Mutya walked it's very generous of Keisha to phrase everything so kindly, but if she really feels that way then good for her. What are all your thoughts?

that was a great interview! Keisha was very kind towards Mutya there - just proves all those stupid rumours wrong. wonder why Heidi wasn't there. Amelle looked quite insulted when compared to Mutya. :)

I don't think she was upset or insulted, it's just that there's literally nothing for her to say on the matter so she just kind of sat there. It clears a few things up though. From everything that's been said about it, it sounds as if Mutya was much closer to Heidi and Keisha's upset was only because she knew it was going to happen (Mutya leaving) but probably didn't want to think about it? Hmm.

I think Amelle looked uncomfortable during the Mutya exposition, whether that's because she just feels awkward as she has no comment to make on it and replaced her, or whether it reminded her of events when she first joined (e.g. Keisha and Heidi very upset at Mutya leaving may have made Amelle feel like the consolation prize, rather than them being excited to work with her) i'm not entirely sure. Seems this line up is the most stable though and while i thought Mutya was great and loved her voice Amelle is a worthy successor.

Also nice to hear a wee mention about Siobhan- think a lot of their fans nowadays don't remember her/know she existed B)
