Velvet Revolver are currently in the studio working on a new song for the soundtrack to a new animated movie from Steven Spielberg called 'Monster House.' We caught up with Slash and Matt Sorum at the MAP Benefit show to discuss the movie and their thoughts on working on an animated project with Steven Spielberg.

 

"I don't think it's really a kids movie, it's a little bit dark. I think every one will dig it. It's really well done, it's Spielberg so it's awesome. We're doing the end title for that right now and we're working with Dave Sardis who worked with Jett and Wolfmother. It's an awesome movie, I think the demographic will be like eight to seventeen but I really dug it too, it's a great movie."

 

When asked about the song, Slash responded by saying it was too early to talk about the inspiration for the song, since it was just written.

 

"Yeah it's a movie called 'Monster House' when asked about what the song was about Slash responded with 'I don't even know, we just wrote it."

 

The band is finishing up the song for 'Monster House' in the studio write now and the band will next decide on which producer to work with on their next album, the follow up to their immensely successful 'Contraband' release.
