Posted October 14, 200816 yr Just had an email from Herman, stating that the OCC want to charge too much for using their info, so C+ is effectively dead. He will refund outstanding subscriptions.
October 14, 200816 yr Oh, sorry to hear that. I'm guessing OCC knew C+ will close the door if they increase the fees.
October 14, 200816 yr  This means also no more Airplay data? :( This is such a sad news  xox.
October 14, 200816 yr Although it isn't looking good, Herman also said that he will give it a few days to see if someone will be prepared to "adopt" ChartsPlus, so don't give up hope just yet! :)

Although I don't know him I know he's a young Maths teacher. Is he really likely to have the funds needed? Edited October 14, 200816 yr by RabbitFurCoat
October 14, 200816 yr Although I don't know him I know he's a young Maths teacher. Is he really likely to have the funds needed? Yeah, I don't have the funds. I have the time, not the funds. I know the cost ionvolved and jit is exxcessive for one person to start the ball; rolling. At work, so more later - all those wanting comfort email me - skiffle@distantstar.org.uk

At work, so more later - all those wanting comfort email me - skiffle@distantstar.org.uk OK, let's say 99 quid a year was a fair price for the subscription... But how much will it cost the yearly subscription with the new costs? I would liley continue my subscription even if the price would be double ^_^ EDIT: Even if fairly, with all the downloads that are between 101-200 I frankly dunnot care about those peaks... But for the rest of the charts (including the Airplay) C+ should still exist, and Lonnie could fill the missing pages with an analyse or somenthing :cheer: How about that Lonnie? xox. I personally would not want to pay *that* much more - maybe 25% extra if necessary, but not without the full Top 200's. That's why I subscribed in the first place.
October 14, 200816 yr I personally would not want to pay *that* much more - maybe 25% extra if necessary, but not without the full Top 200's. That's why I subscribed in the first place. Well, see what response I get. I do suspect a hike in subs is on the cards though....
October 15, 200816 yr isn't musicweek like 200 a year for the same info plus loads of sales stuff? so shouldn't go up that much or wouldn't be worth it. Such a shame, great service would have it if i could afford
October 17, 200816 yr isn't musicweek like 200 a year for the same info plus loads of sales stuff? so shouldn't go up that much or wouldn't be worth it. Such a shame, great service would have it if i could afford Nope... MusicWeek offers only details for the midweeks... That's why a person pays such a subscription :P No Top 200, and no official Airplay 100 data just like C+ was offering  Let's hope the C+ history can go on, because I dunnot give a damn about the midweeek information :( xox.
October 17, 200816 yr The info was really interesting but it was expensive as it was - I'm guessing C+ knew they couldn't really charge any more and turn a profit, even break even, so it's understandable. Hope he finds a way to keep it going though.

November 1, 200816 yr Author Just received this email from Herman : Dear all, It may seem to have gone a bit quiet around ChartsPlus, but I can assute you that there has been a lot happening behind the scenes. And, as it stands at the moment, ChartsPlus looks likely to return in the week in the week ending 22 November. No guarantees, but very very likely. Thank you for your patience so far. I hope you have a little bit more patience left. Further details on the new ChartsPlus will follow in the next two weeks, from the new team. Best, Herman
