Posted October 14, 200816 yr The title of the new album has been decided. Its The Circus. I'm not surprised really ... when I think back to the ideas they had for the Ultimate Tour (especially RMF) was very Cirque De Soleil influenced. Of course the Britney Spears fans seem to think that they have 'stolen' the idea from her but as Erasure had an album called simply 'Circus' years ago .... I suppose they're both copying 80's legends! And if Greatest Day and Womaniser are a taster of the albums .... I'm sure the Erasure one will prove to be preferable to both! Never knew anyone could claim copyright on a word! How silly of me? Norma Edited October 19, 200816 yr by Norma_Snockers
October 14, 200816 yr I love the name but yes it makes me think of Britneys album? Seems odd both have the same name???????? I guess if Take That have there album out first it will make them look better lol I still havent heard there new single yet! when is the release day for single/album?
October 15, 200816 yr I like it. And , like Norma said, who cares who copies what? In the end, the material is important. Hopefully, no TT fan will confound the titles and buy the wrong album  There's a lot of fairground-type album covers/titles lately .
October 15, 200816 yr i was thinking britney new album had same name but who cares as its the content on the cd that is most important
October 15, 200816 yr Author i was thinking britney new album had same name but who cares as its the content on the cd that is most important I think they've had this title in mind for at least six months to be honest. As well as the CD there's to be a special edition with a 48 page hard-back book to go with it ... this must have been in production for at least a few weeks before Britney decided on her title anyway. Besides ... its just a word. I am concerned a bit though - the single (although the tune has grown on me a lot) really isn't as good as I hoped it would be and I'm more than disappointed with the lyrics (even though I don't place great emphasis on the words as long as the tune is good). Having said that .... I've heard Womanizer and I don't think that is Britney's best either. Maybe neither of them will get to number 1! Norma
October 15, 200816 yr i heard britneys song the other day and i dont think much of it for me its no better than any of the recent singles she has done,,however both britney and take that have huge fan bases which will ensure big enough hits,,its a tough battle hard to know who will win but i have a sneaky feeling take that will get the number 1
October 16, 200816 yr I like Britters but I would love TT to be number one and her at number 2 but it will be a close one!!!!
October 17, 200816 yr Author I'm still not fond of Britney's song (its OK but its no Toxic is it?) The video however is excellent (very reminiscent of the one for Toxic in bits but that isn't a bad thing). I think Take That fans will have to hope that our video is good too ... as I'm afraid it'll be a battle of the videos rather than a battle of (to be honest) two pretty average songs. Norma
October 17, 200816 yr its def not the best work by other,,the phyisical sales will play a huge part in this battle also
October 17, 200816 yr Author its def not the best work by other,,the phyisical sales will play a huge part in this battle also I think Take That may do better on the physicals - the new CD is available with a 48 page hard-back book! Norma
October 17, 200816 yr i wonder later on down the path will they release a limited edition also like they did very successfully with beautiful world
October 18, 200816 yr Take That will certainly win on the album front...Britney hasnt had a big album in quite a while. Singleswise...I have a feeling both could do ok.
October 19, 200816 yr Author This is the track listing for The Circus I've removed these for now ... as they are no longer on the Amazon site (so I assume they've not been authorised). Will put them back when they reappear. Norma Edited October 19, 200816 yr by Norma_Snockers
October 23, 200816 yr Author I've seen the artwork for the album! It's pretty good! They've followed Westlife's lead and they're all sitting there in Val Doonican sweaters but on rocking chairs not stools! Only joking - they're on high-wires! Norma
