Posted October 16, 200816 yr Will and Simon kiss 'n make up WILL Young will bury the hatchet with old enemy Simon Cowell when he is a guest star on X Factor. The singer, 29, will perform in front of Cowell, 49, for the first time since winning Pop Idol six years ago. The pair have been feuding since Mr Nasty Simon branded Will’s performance on the first Pop Idol contest “distinctly average” back in 2002. The row escalated when Simon gave runner-up Gareth Gates a record deal. But Will has agreed to perform on the show to promote his fourth album, ironically titled, Let It Go. The star is also at loggerheads with another X Factor judge — boyband mogul Louis Walsh, once saying: “I just don’t think he’s a very clever person.” A music industry source said: “Will doesn’t like Simon and Louis. However, it was this kind of show that gave him his career, he’s not about to turn his back on it.” Will previously told us he will kiss and make up with Cowell, saying: “Simon and I exchanged a few cross words at the time but I have nothing but respect for what he has done bringing the show on.” http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...icle1815145.ece Hope this is true. Simon Fuller pulling a few strings. :) :D Edited October 16, 200816 yr by truly talented
October 16, 200816 yr Thanks TT. Will did say the other day that they had been working on this for about a year to make it happen. There's a waiting list for this prime-time music show - there's nothing else out there. Edited October 16, 200816 yr by munchkin

October 16, 200816 yr Author Thanks to willsagent1. looking more definite. According to the X Factor page on ITV's website. Will Young sings live! 16 Oct 08 A trailblazer in the reality pop format, his name is a byword for how to go there, do it, and strut out wearing the winner’s t-shirt. Since he burst onto the scene as the fresh-faced winner of 2002’s Pop Idol, Will Young has become a household name, enjoyed a successful career as a fully fledged popstar… and now he is going to appear as a special guest star on this year’s X Factor! As with the Britney Spears story we exclusively broke on these very pages a couple of weeks ago, we can’t tell you exactly when he will be appearing on the show, all we can say is: it’s gonna happen. So if you don’t want to miss Britney or Will giving their all on The X Factor stage, you’d better stay tuned every Saturday night. And remember folks; watch this space because we’ll be dropping a few more celebrity-guest-bombshells before the series is out! Loving the write up. :D :D

October 17, 200816 yr Great to hear it's been confirmed. That's only a couple of weeks away. :o I have only just noticed that :o must admit i am a little disappointed i thought he would be doing it when the single is out, only his fan base will have heard Grace ....so to the public it will be an unknown song which makes less of an impact i think, so it wont generate as much excitement if it's not familar to the public.[hope i'm wrong] also i wanted him to have the advantage of the xmas sales increase ...oh well can't have everything :P Edited October 17, 200816 yr by sunday

Hopefully it'll encourage the public to seek out the album. I suppose he could have performed another track other than Grace with it not being near it's release date. Wonder if he could already be booked to appear on SCD on the Saturday before Grace's release. Do artist's ever do both shows? Otherwise I can't understand him having free Saturday's during the tour. October 17, 200816 yr I reckon he had to take whatever show was offered and what fitted in with his schedule, and that was why the single was brought forward. I should think there's quite a list of people waiting to perform on there.
October 17, 200816 yr I disagree....first time I heard Grace it knocked me for six.....and all new and fresh.... The date of the single is irrelevant now...no-one can find the things anyway unless they live in a major town. Its all about the album now  Edited October 17, 200816 yr by Tillywhim
October 17, 200816 yr Artists do do both shows. Katherine Jenkins was on XF and SCD last year. She is on SCD this week.

She is on SCD this week. Thanks for confirming that Pearl. Steady promo throughout November, December should do wonders for album sales. I hope he makes an appearance on JR's show too.
