When everyone from Sugababes to Sharleen Spiteri is doing 1960s soul pastiches, it's with great timing that the large-lunged proponent of plastic soul should return. While her thunderous vocal shredding is thankfully kept in check, her toe-curling lyrics are not. Despite the appearance of some of the most significant writers and producers of the past decade (Rodney Jerkins, Ne Yo, J.T. Rotem, Guy Chambers), Anastacia sounds stuck in some cheap-sounding version of the past. Worst offenders are the Magaluf techno of the title track and the lumpen Neva Gonna Love Again. Charmless.

The lyrics are failing us indeed.. She had some very strong lyrics on Anastacia.. Something I didn't find on this record
