I just hope they show him singing both songs. From a Distance was fantastic.

If he doesnt sing from a distance I will think there is a plot to overthrow him!!!!!!I dont mind a hymn under different circumstances but not this time only if as well as.

I'll try to get a videoplus number somewhere today, which would mean I could set the ordinary video recorder tonight.

 

Next week I have to rely on timed recording because I'm out all day.

 

I really hope they show both songs. I was so disappointed when they only showed one last time he was at the Royal Albert Hall - and he was one of the better acts there then.

On the Songs of Praise website there is a short video with a glimpse of D.

thanks for posting about the sop website - lovely to hear Darius given star status along with Katherine Jenkins there, and that tantalising glimpse of darius looking splendid, I am longing to hear him sing, I too hope we get to hear the two songs..At a Distance sounds as if it could be fantastic by all the commnets I have read,

I think that, with the things Darius has done, very few could cinsider him not a star.

Well is all I can say. I was so disappointed that they showed the interview which was good and he said he was hoping to do the hymn justice and then they showed aled jones singing when I was expecting D. Now I feel that because he said that about the hymn that is what they will show next week instead of from a distance. Did you notice the musical arranger of songs of praise used to be musical arranger for pop idol.

I too expected D to sing especially after KJ sang. Possibly he will sing one thing next week, and the other in

the Christmas show......let's hope so.

Katherine Jenkins has signed the largest ever recording deal for a classical artist.

 

The Welsh singer will make five albums for Warner Music under a contract worth more than £5.8 million.

 

By signing the deal, Jenkins leaves former label Universal, but now believes she is better positioned to make an impact in the US.

 

"I'm very sad to be leaving Universal because that's where it all started ... but I've been offered an opportunity I can't refuse," she told the BBC.

 

Jenkins will now spend four months in Los Angeles to record her first album for Warner. Sacred Arias, her final record with Universal, is released on Monday.

The theme of the show was singers from past shows. Katherine has been in past shows - Darius hasn't, so I didn't expect him to sing. I'm still hopeful that both tracks will be included next week.

I don t mind if it is only one track as long as its from a distance. You beat me to it Bramley was just going to post about Katherine jenkins.

I'm really hoping for both.

The featured songs including Aled's were all from the past Big Sings. KJ has done 3 of them.

 

I thought Katherine Jenkins had been doing very well already.

 

For a while every time I turned on the TV, she'd be singing, as if there was no other female who can sing in that style. It used to be Lesley Garrett all the time and before that Kiri Te Kanawa (sp?).

I'll be really gutted if they don't show From a Distance next week. It was soooooo good.
