Well, that's 3 of us then. I wouldn't mind Peter Andre doing it as it's not a show I'd want to see again. I'd hate D to as I may feel I'd have to at least see it once. He's got too much stage presence for that role.
I hate to say this, but isn't D too old to play Joseph?

he would be a splendid Phantom, I kept seeing him with that half mask when rewatching the sop, although I see him as more of a romantic or heroic character - not with his face all disfigured, would be a shame ot waste his good looks perhaps.
Well, who knows where he'll go next? I just hope it's something I'd like to see.
I wouldnt wan t him to do joseph either, he and his voice is too mature for this role. What about sunset boulevard. John barrowman has played the role in the past. Havent seen this show so dont know exactly whats involved. James bond please.

I think the first part of this arrangement of FAD is much too slow. With a 1000 voice choir and an orchestra primed to play it, Darius had no choice but to sing it that way.

Darius wouldn't go to Joseph. Why would/should he?

He's just a year older than Lee Mead but IMHO he'd look all wrong for the part - far too much of a man. He would have made a great Joseph/Narrator/Pharaoh if he'd gone straight into MT from PI. He does a mean Elvis, we know that.

Now, though, he'd be stepping into a part dozens of people I can't name have done i.e back to 2005 and Chicago and as soon as Darius does any part which is not seen to be a lead role equal to or better than Rhett, the media will treat it as a step backwards.

He's a successful singer/songwriter and he's made his mark on the West End stage. If he takes care of his voice, they'll always be options.

IMHO Darius is a "been there, done that, time for another challenge" guy and TV/movie acting is the next logical one for him. I hope he can keep the plates spinning and fit in the 3rd album but he's only human and can't be in 2 places at the same time, so it may not be possible.

Darius has classic looks suitable for all genres, talent and the elusive X factor. What remains to be seen, is if he has the good fortune to land the best parts. That's where his judgment has to come into play.

I liked that Aled recognised his talent and was thrilled to have him. I want him to have success in the fields he wants to be in. I'd love a little gig just for us lot in between though.
I would miss him singing if he went into films.
So would I. Very much. I do recognise that he has to follow his own path though and wish him success. It'd be awful never to see him just standing singing again.

he must sing - I dont mind him doing whatever he wants, but that voice is too good to not be heard, I really do find his is the only voice that makes me want to keep listening, whatever he is singing.

Tbh I can't see Darius being happy for long without performing in front of a live audience.

At first acting on camera will be a novelty with the different techniques and possibility for him as an actor. While he's in student mode soaking everything enthusiastically, he'll be happy enough but later, he may need to touch base in front of a live audience. That's where I hope gigs will fit in, preferably here in the UK. MT would require longer commitment from him.
