Posted October 19, 200816 yr Its been remixed by Bart Claessen, he apparently "Used a hint of the original vocals by Dannii Minogue, and took the bassline to reconstruct it into tech territory." Not sure what I think of it, but enough with the electro ruinations of classic trance anthems.
October 21, 200816 yr Not sure what I think of it, but enough with the electro ruinations of classic trance anthems. On this occasion, I completely agree with you!
October 30, 200816 yr The original is just about one of the best dance hits of 2001 and probably the best thing Dannii has ever done - I suspect it will be ruined :|
October 30, 200816 yr im in full agreement here, i loved that track, highly underrated and easily her best material. it really didnt need re-mastering but highlights the lack of innovation/ideas in the current dance scene
October 30, 200816 yr I absolutely love the original, I don't want to hear the remix version. I don't want to have the new version in my ears, just the old one :D
October 30, 200816 yr hmm... but isn't Who Do You Love Now a 'classic' that Dannii simply added vocals to? I'm sure it's a song I have from a few years before the actual release - exactly the same - minus her vocals......
October 30, 200816 yr Yes. It was a club instrumental produced by Riva. Pete Tong picked up on it and scouted around for a vocalist, eventually deciding on Dannii.
October 30, 200816 yr Author The instrumental was called Stringer, and like many dance hits, it was already quite popular even before the vocals were added.
October 30, 200816 yr Stringer - that's it.... I remember hearing it loads way before the Dannii version came out... and it appeared on quite a few dance compilations, too.
October 31, 200816 yr Is there a Youtube video of this? or was that one martyn posted actually it? In which case I can't actually tell the difference.
October 31, 200816 yr He posted the clip of the original Ah, thought so. I was wondering where this "removal of most of her vocals" went. So is there anywhere I can hear this version?
