HI all :) As we haven't heard anything, I am presuming that Darius isn't attending this event, but I am thinking of going and wondered if anyone else would be there from here? I would like to go, but don't want to spend all evening as "Billy no mates" so please pm me or respond here if you are going or thinking of going, thanks!

I went by myself last year and only to the performancwe. it was fine, no problem being on my own at all. If nothing else is happening, I'll do the same this year. Let me know if you want to meet up.

2nd of December in London, details here NUTS2008 Bramley :)

Meg, I would love to meet up for this if you are going  I would really like to go to the aftershow too, as it's a long way to come for just the concert, what do you think?

I don't really want to spend the money on the after show, BP. I haven't got a job yet. I could walk with you to the party and keep you company until you go in.

Sorry, B.P.

If there had been anyone at all appearing whom I wanted to see, I might have made the effort to travel, just to catch up with you. As soon as I saw the kind of music they were featuring this year, I knew it wasn't for me. I'd just fidget and spoil others' experience.

I've sat and even stood through some dire stuff in the past just to hear Darius sing a couple of songs but unless he's there, there aren't many people I'm desperate enough to see in London, who probably wouldn't come to Glasgow/Edinburgh.

I'm not saying this show would be dire. The Passage put on wonderful evenings but this time they're obviously aimiing at a different audience.

I really go to support the charity. The concert would find it hard to be worse than last years.
Just adding - The fact that I can be at the concert within 1hr 30 of leaving home and it'll only cost £10 for travel make quite a difference.
I wouldn't go to listen to classical music.
I like some classical, but not enough to warrant train fare and hotel accommodation.

Thanks Meg :)

I have to admit though, I have very, very little interest in classical music either :( I would like to say a quick hello to Sir Roger Moore, but I am not prepared to travel so far and go to the expense just in case I got to have a few words with him. I think I might(unless we hear D will attend) just give it a miss and perhaps post a little cheque to the charity instead.

Could seriously do with a Darius event to attend, but who knows when the next one might be

Not me. And then it'd probably be another private one and not to be posted about.

Of course, if D is a late entrant for NUTS there will be a mad rush for tickets.
It would depend how other things are going and I would rather count on him not being there.
You may have a job and be newly affluent by then.
