March 17, 200916 yr I'm glad she's not just churning something out and is doing something she wants to do. I do need some new Nelly though.
March 18, 200916 yr Author Official message from Nelly: Hi, Nelly Furtado here. I wanted to inform you officially that the song "Gotta Know" is NOT my song, and does NOT have my voice on it. I don't know who's song it is! Please spread the word. I am currently recording two new exciting albums- one in Spanish and one in Portuguese. Stay tuned and I will give you a sneak peak really soon. Thanks for all the love and support. Stay tuned for some other music-related news really soon. This confirms the spanish/portuguese thing is happening! Thoughts?
March 18, 200916 yr Author I think this a HUGE risk but I'm really pleased she is sticking by her roots. Certain interviews she has done recently she has been saying things like 'I've always wanted to be an indie artist' and not caring about being mainstream. Maybe she is going back to her roots afterall? Edited March 18, 200916 yr by Ryan
March 27, 200916 yr So no new ENGLISH material on the horizon apart from the odd featuring credits? :o Will these foreign language albums be released here? It'll be interesting to see if any of the tracks make the top200. I’m not a fan of her pre-Loose material personally; hopefully she’ll work with Timbaland again on her next English album.

LOL, I prefer the exact opposite.. "Folklore" is probably one of my top 5 albums of all time, truly stunning. Quality songs, I end up crying when listening to "Picture Perfect", "Build You Up" and "Childhood Dreams", so spectacular they are.. I'm actually over-the-moon she's going in this direction, absolutely HATED the commercialness and non-Nellyness of the Loose era. Her first two albums stuck to her roots, were stunning and showcased her talent and originality where "Loose" didn't. Can't wait for thisss :) Old School Folkful Nelly ftw, a truly spectacular song never has a language barrier for me - English/Spanish/Whatever - it's all music and "the language barrier" is a bit 'judging-a-book-by-its-cover'-ish, I guess if you're a big fan of Nelly or open-minded with your musical taste you are more likely to enjoy music in foreign languages or some of us are just more traditional and multicultural than other. Or it's just a matter of preferences.. But this album is certainly now on my to-buy list, can't wait. Infact I'll just take out "Folklore" in the mean time - that album NEVER grows old, seriously love it <3
May 10, 200916 yr Author ^ Yes  Folklore is wonderful. Easily her best I doubt she will ever be able to create something as good ever again. Sick of waiting for proper news on this. Silly Nelly :(
