Strange game.

Walcott should have been given at least ten minutes on the pitch, well Defoe should be there instead of him really.

Crouch, Rooney and Walcott are our only strikers now - not looking great tbh now is it upfront.

England need to improve for the next game against Ecuador though.

Gerrard scored not Crouch ;)

I'm talking about the Trinidad game. Firstly England said they looked awful against Paraguay, then they said Crouch played badly against Trinidad and now they're saying we didn't play well against Sweden.

I think we have a great chance of beating Ecuador, but England can't afford to be sloppy at the end, look on the bright side we don't have to play Germany

sven pisses me off really he calls Walcott up but hasn't played him yet. we got a half fit striker (rooney) an injured striker (owen).that leaves us with just crouch!

now i don't know about you lot but isn't it more sensible to play Walcott in a group game. Rather than playing him in a knock out stage against big oppositions like Germany .

Its looking like Owen will miss the rest of the world cup now :( .

I just hope that the media don't make a huge deal about it as TBH I think Crouch and Rooney can hold the line for England or Sven coud play 5 in midfield with Rooney on his own, and Owen didn't do too much against Paraguay and T&T so it isn't a massive loss, but its still a loss.

He is due for a scan tomorrow, and probably with 8-9 months out of action

Hard luck for Newcastle then as well.

Well they definitley need another striker anyways bcause of Shearer retiering and they'll need at least another one. Unlucky for Newcastle that the world cup is on as most players that play in the world cup will see there prices significantly rise if they have a good world cup, which will mean Newcastle will end up getting ripped off again in the striker department.

Lets wait and see what the result of the scan is before writing him off

Various papers say 6 months others say 9 months etc whereas he might possibly have twisted his knee and be ok in a month or 2

Just like Portugal and Brazil, England didn't have to be excellent to dominate in the group. Hopefully, we'll see the best of them in the knock-offs.

I expected more from Sweden whilst T&T didn't do as apalling as expected. Paraguai was iffy to begin with.
