June 16, 200619 yr I've finally got a scoreline prediction correct Netherlands 2v1 Cote D'Ivore (at the 22nd attempt!). :yahoo:
June 16, 200619 yr Ivory Coast were very unlucky. If they were drawn in any other group they'd probably have gone through, but that wasn't to be the case.

June 21, 200619 yr This Netherlands - Argentina game isn't as good as I thought it would be. :( Argentina are all over Holland. Holland don't look no where near as good as Argentina.
June 21, 200619 yr The Ivory Coast match is quite good although they've got that AWFUL ref that England had against Paraguay.

June 21, 200619 yr Author I must admit the match between Argentina and Holland was rather dire in my opinion, I wish I saw the other match now on ITV4
June 21, 200619 yr I decided to watch the Ivory Coast match instead. FAR better than what the Argentina match sounded like.
June 21, 200619 yr To me the world cup is wide open. There has been no team that has put in concistant performances so far. Argentina were the better team overall but they were c**p compared to there performance against S&M.
June 21, 200619 yr Author I still think Spain have played well in this competition, they might be the underdogs to pull it off, they have been tipped as one of the favourites along with Argentina and Brazil. I didn't think Argentina played well today, seems they were having a bad day, and if England beat Ecuador we could face them in the next round hopefully Mexico will beat Argentina, but I don't see that coming.

Spain are good, and Torres is a good player on his day but he can be so furstrating to watch sometimes can be inconcistant. Spain are the only team who have being concistantly good in their first 2 games. I reckon Argentina V Mexico could be a good game, and I either think Mexico will get stuffed 2 or nil or will just beat Argentina.
June 22, 200619 yr Spain were just as poor as England have been against Tunisia. The should beat Korea/Switzerland/France but I can't see them progressing any further... I think the game last night might be the first of two times those two teams meet. I can't see any team beating them. Holland had more reserves than Argnentina for most of the game and still managed to look very strong. They won't score a lot of goals, but they'll conceed even less!
June 22, 200619 yr Spain will fail to win it AGAIN. They've always been like that for as far back as I can remember - they'll absolutely HAMMER somebody, like Ukraine, but then they'll go out and perform AWFULLY.
June 23, 200619 yr Argentina and Netherlands dominating in fine style. Most people in Portugal wanted to face off the Dutch but people better not think it will much easier than if it was Argentina. Good impressions also for the Côte d'Ivoire (their governement requests that this should be the country's designation no matter what language) who fight well. That spin-off versus Serbia was well deserved.
