The new official Beatles iPods are now available exclusively at Bloomingdales, according to blog.wired.com. The iPods, which contain no Beatles music, comes in a $795 collectors box which includes the 13 original Beatles CDs, the two catch-all Past Masters CD collections, The Beatles LOVE CD and an engraved guitar pick.

Only 2,500 units are available of the 120-GB iPod classic, which features "a laser-etched Beatles logo on the front and a silhouette of the Abbey Road album cover on the back." There has been no word on the rumored "Yellow Submarine" iPod which was believed to the model being sold this holiday season.

Goes into rant mode:

I want the new DIGITAL REMASTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before I die of old age.

Come on it has been 21 years since the CD's were first issued, we are long overdue an upgrade, the Digital Remasters have been done, so where TF are they? and when are they being released on iTunes?

Come on Apple, a whole generation of teenagers are growing up thinking Abba & Queen are better than The Beatles.........

It would be good to have them, yes.

However I notice AC/DC refuse to have their albums on iTunes, as they think downloading single tracks spoils the experience of the whole album.
