Summer is almost gone and we've heard nothing about this album. Come on Christina! :arrr:

She takes the mick when it comes to releasing albums

To be honest, artists regularly announce they're releasing a new album a few months after a GH but it never happens, ever. It probably takes longer than anticipated to finish working on it.

I think it's smart she is waiting a little bit... alot of my friends that were huge fans were upset with her after KGB, but now they are dying for a new album again. It's also smart she's not releasing the same time as Gaga or there would only be more unneeded comparisons.

There is a forum on Digital Spy about Christina's Leaked Album details in the music section. It has a link to a release schedule claiming that her new album will be released on 25th September in Italy so we should expect it on 29th September with the single premiering mid-August.

Aguilera confirms electro-pop album

 

Christina Aguilera has announced that she is working on a new album featuring electro-pop music.

 

The 'Candy Man' singer explored jazz and soul on her last record Back To Basics in 2006. However, the 28-year-old said that she is looking towards the future for her upcoming LP.

 

She told The AP: "I kind of had an idea for a futuristic feel for many years now, but I also had that idea that I wanted to do a soul, blues and jazz record also.

 

"But I knew I had to do that one first... It's always been in the back of my mind to do a more futuristic sound."

 

Aguilera also revealed that she is excited about branching out for her musical endeavour, adding: "I keep trying to test myself and try new things because at the end of the day, I want to look back at a huge body of work and be so excited."

 

The Grammy Award-winner was recently confirmed to star in the film Burlesque with Cher.

I think it will be next year at the earliest before she releases a new album.

I posted it in here and someone deleted. She said that the album won't be coming out until next year.

Christina Aguilera's next album is one of her best records ever, her producer has said.

 

Showbiz Spy claims that Tricky Stewart described Light & Darkness as "just great".

 

"I wouldn't say that it's alternative, I wouldn't say that it's different," Stewart said. "Christina's always been an artist that moves the bar and that's what the great ones do.

 

"They don't stay in the same place for long and this album is just another move for her.

 

"I really feel it's one of her best bodies of work that I've heard since Stripped."

 

Stewart claimed earlier this week that Aguilera has finished recording the album.

Not a Christina fan but I thought this should be posted. Through my job I get access to release information. Her new album is complete and was due for release last week November but has since been put back two and a half months due to filming commitments on some movie. Anyway its now due for release in early March. But what caught my eye is that Ladytron have produced songs for her on it! :huh: I wasn't expected that so its got me interested in the project.
