newsletter from the fabulous Client today reveals Youth has produced much of the songs on their forthcoming new album - with the rest being produced by Sneaker Pimps' Joe Wilson and Mr Alan McGee who is, of course, married to one of Client.

Read this...sounds spectacular - especially the Northern Soul cover.... now isn't it time Britain realised who its greatest girlband is...?

Client A spent most of the year shaping the album and we worked with Youth in a tiny studio off the Golbourne road in London producing 5 tracks... Youth was on top form as he came straight off his sell-out Killing Joke tour to play amazing bass lines fresh from his shows. We got total rock and roll from him!! His 5 tracks are Your Love is Like Petrol, Can You Feel, Blackheart, Ghost and a surprise Northern Soul cover done as if Kylie went on a road trip with Daft Punk in a Berlin Alley!

The other 5 or 6 tracks were produced by Client and Joe Wilson of Sneaker Pimps and were mixed by Alan Mcgee and Tipler in Bermondsy in 2 days!! They have a dirty, current, fresh electro feel about them and such titles are Son of A Gun and Satisfaction.

We will be putting up tasters starting November on our myspace page - with added snippets of blogs and photosession surprises...

watch the Client-online.eu site for details.

We are really excited about this album as are our record labels... We think you will love it!! it is Client but it is modern and fresh and very "NOW"!!

Client, like the equally astounding IAMX (led by another ex-Sneaker Pimp, Chris Corner...), are really the most totally under-rated and criminally ignored bands in the UK.... I mean, really, just what do these guys have to do to break through....? The British record-buying public really are tasteless, clueless, Simon Cowell/X-Factor slave-like sheep if they cant recognise the obvious genius of these bands.... Quality, dark-edged Pop and just so bloody sexy as fukk too.....

If this album doesn't work out for Client, and IAMX cant make a breakthrough with their next one, well, I despair, I really bloody DO.....

I think Client are a bit "out-there" for the current all-time-stale music scene in the UK.... I like how they don't give a flying f*** and simply take themselves off to countries that do appreciate them - they've got a huge German, Scandanavian and even a cult American following..... here? They're lucky to fill a phonebox.

Depressing....

Not bad at all for a pensioner electro-band.

They're like a hybrid of Ladytron and the Pipettes.

:D awww... misguided youth..... hilarious. :yahoo:

LOL I like them but much like Sisters of Transistors, Ladytron et al they appeal to a much older deomographic of electronique musique fans.

I hope you realise I was exagerating for comical effect there r.e. Client. "Misguided" when it comes to music, I am not.

That's true tbh... Any time I've seen Client, the crowd's usually mid-30s or thereabouts... And, they always seem to be stuck on support slots in UK, usually for bands like Covenant and in pretty small venues as well.. IAMX might actually fare a bit better... They supported Mindless Self Indulgence at the hugely impressive Roundhouse venue in Camden (that place has THE best sound I've ever heard in an indoor venue and is at least five times the size of any venue Client have played in UK....), and there was a bit of a buzz about them (it was one of these nights where you actually prefer the support band more than the band you paid to see...LOL, a lot of people were saying the same thing), they seem to be attracting a wider demographic, the older, electronica fans interspersed with young kids, late teens, early 20s..... Client dont seem to be attracting this fanbase, at all... It does help that IAMX seem to be doing this whole sleazy/dangerous/sexy thing, a bit like a more contemporary Soft Cell, and that frontman Chris Corner is a better live performer than Sarah in the sense that he really gets into the role he plays on stage...

IAMX have a headlining gig at the LA2 in December, so I'm hopeful that they can capitalize on being headliners and put on a truly kick-ass show.. But the LA2 is a dodgy venue, I've seen a fair few bands that I liked come off sounding like incoherent sludge thanks to their cr@ppy sound.... I know that IAMX can sound absolutely amazing on their night, it would be annoying if they came off sounding cr@p at their gig because of bad sound....
