Mine are: Madonna - great up until her sex phase in 1992, went off the rails a bit then bounced back with two decent songs in 1994 and 1995 - "Take A Bow" and "You'll See", then she kept up her cool when she did her Ray of Light and Music albums. Since 2003 with the exception of "Hung Up" she's just been c**p and acting like an old slapper. I'm going to get crucified for this but Kylie Minogue. Great to start off and I loved her in her indie phase during the mid 90s. Had a great comeback up until about 2003 when "Body Language" was released. She has been rubbish since then.

Really, how many years is it since he released a decent single or album? actually was watching my best of bowie dvd today - as the new bloc party single made me want to play Time will crawl - then i played Jump they say, miracle goodnight, hearts filthy lesson, hallo spaceboy, i'm afraid of americans and then little wonder.... little wonder is bizarre - theres a great song trying to get out but even tho i suppose you could say its so try hard to be 90s relevant - there's something so ricky gervais does babylon zoo about both the song and video (didnt play dvd1 today)
November 1, 200816 yr lord... theres loads... most punk bands started off good but as soon as they tasted success they went all boring, same with new romantics... spandau for eg, human league, dexys, the list is endless.
November 2, 200816 yr I think I'd go along with Madonna. She hasn't gone c**p exactly but she hasn't evolved much. Visually she has with all her image changes and her dabblings in different religions and child-selection but vocally - she's a lot more boring than she used to be. Norma

November 3, 200816 yr as someone mentions her cyndi lauper is great but never gets the success she deserves,,, im a huge kylie fan i can understand why some of you dont find the music as good with the exception of wow the other recent singles have not been a patch on some of her glorious porevious singles however the one would have made a great single and is a brilliant song... now i will probabaly get killed her but i have been listening to anastacia;s new material and it really is terrible so for now i would fit her in with was good but now c**p
November 3, 200816 yr I would say Westlife gone from bad to worse :lol: Anastacia's new one is bad and the biggest artists going downhill since years is Janet Jackson and her brother Michael.

Since 2003 with the exception of "Hung Up" she's just been c**p and acting like an old slapper. I think Madonna's most interesting creative periood - by a mile - was 1990 - 1998.... Vogue, then Justify My Love (surely her finest moment?).... the beautiful Sex book, the spellbinding Erotica.... then she let herself down with the mushy, frankly awful, Take a Bow..... Human Nature was terrific... the Bedtime Stories album was one of her best - as was the title track single (and video), You'll See... stunning.. This Used to be my Playground - a forgotten classic.... the gorgeous Rain... we can forget (but not forgive) her appalling Evita period inbetween this.... and then, one of the greatest comebacks of any pop star - ever - the incredible Ray of Light album. Before 1990 - Madonna was just another pretty average US female singer.... apart from Like a Prayer, her musical output was at best patchy, at worst cruddy.
