It was one of those 'hit and miss' programs for me. I hated it to begin with but then I found myself laughing at a couple of episodes ... and Linda Robson for me is just so funny anyway - she's the funniest thing on Grumpy Old Women. I can't stand Pauline Quirk though.

Back to BOAF though ... the George Hamilton episode was wonderful.

Norma

yes, yes and Dorien  one of my favourite programmes, and there was a DVD of the first series, I bought it :D I did a presentation on the show once at uni in a course about 'social class in British comedy' where I talked about the differences between Sharon and Dorien
i loved this show and so want it all on dvd so i signed the obnline birds of a feather petition,,apparantly there is some goings on between various makers of the show and thats why only series 1 is out on dvd,,i have a load of episodes on video but id love the 9 series of the show on dvd
No, it was the same recycled old jokes every episode, seen 1 episode of Birds of a Feather you have seen them all

agreed craig.... it was abit like little britain in that respect, only the characters were never endearing.

I loved this  I don't really remember a lot about it though tbf, but I liked Dorien the best.
ya dorien was my fave but the three of together was a huge part of the show thats where the comedy reallycame in
Not a great example of the British sitcom but it was a lot better than a lot of the other mainstream sitcoms at the time. Not that I can remember other examples at the moment!
it was so much better tham most and i remember episodes of birds of a feather geting audiences over 15 million
