This is pretty much officially Sophie's first single in January, there is a 40 second LQ clip of it floating around. It sounds really good, extremely catchy.

We don't for sure, but it's safe to say it's at least 95% likely it is now. :P

A slight alteration, the single is called 'Sophia Loren'. It will be released in the early part of 2009, most likely January. Sophie is taking a break to give birth to her second child, and the album's second single and the album will follow in late summer!

i hope you are all well.

i am having a very good time of it as of late... the new single, Sophia Loren, is featured in the Rimmel sexy curves mascara advert and will be released early next year which is wonderful. thank you for all the positive feedback to the launch of the rimmel adverts. i am proud and flattered to be taking part.

i'll then be having a break around march april as i am very happy to share with you all the news that i am having another baby. i am due at the beginning of april and naturally the ellis-bextor-jonses are thrilled that sonny will soon have a little brother or sister.

i'll then be back with another single and the fourth album which is coming along very nicely. expected to be released around july august.

so i hope you're feeling good about all this news.. looks like 2009 and is going to be an exciting year (and busy!) for me. i can't wait!

I feel another flop for Sophie, partly due to her pregnancy, and partly due to the poorly organized release schedule.

The release schedule is very poorly organised, what happened with TTLF will happen again here but worse... but realistically there's no other way she can do it given the circumstances.

Ooh, i like the song judging from the clip. Its a shame this is probably destined to flop though.

Nice song. January is normally always quiet, so she may have a chance not to flop too badly imo.

How would it work to have the album out, then take a break in advance of giving birth to the baby, recover and then release the second single?

She just shouldn't release anything before the baby!

Why not wait and release a different song in May time? The summer is usually more barren than Jan these days anyway :lol:

I hope she does well but I very much doubt it even though the song sounds pretty good!

I suppose what she's doing here is capitalising on the fact that her new single is used in a current Rimmel advert, that's quite clever. However the big gap between the first and second single/album release could be fatal... TTLF part deux here we come. :cry:

All we can hope is that the second single will sound even better than the first one. :lol:

I personally think she badly times her pregnancies [not saying she shouldn't have kids but really - can't she just not release anything until the child is born]. Plus her record company seem to screw everything up [TTLF Era]. I\d like her to do well cos after watching that concert DVD Ayls, I think she really deserves another '...Lips' era but I just don't see this single being the thing to do that.

I wouldnt say its a long wait at all - We started hearing "Girls" from the Sugababes in early August and it wasnt out for like 8 weeks later. and anyway we only get a small hearing of it - you can hardly hear it - so this is different.

I think the advert will be showing for a few months or so, so it should still be around when the single is released I would imagine.
