November 10, 200816 yr WOW this is gonna be great ,,,im well looking forward to this Its about time they had a Take That theme! I do hope that 75% of the songs are Take That's - and not the covers - otherwise it seems a bit of a waste. I know with the Mariah Carey theme - half those songs were originally by other artists - and Mariah's versions weren't even as good as those originals. The songs I definitely want included are Rule The World and Back For Good. I'd love Never Forget to be included ... but that would definitely need to be a group effort and I don't think JLS are good enough. I think of their covers - HDIYL is the obvious inclusion. Norma
November 11, 200816 yr i can see rule the world, back for good,a million love songs and possibly shine getting covered this show should see a good sales surge for the ultimate collection and beautiful world albums plus hopefully some singles sales also
November 15, 200816 yr i didnt get to see it i must look out on you tube and see what the show was like
November 15, 200816 yr They were great! So were Girls Aloud! Sugababes were a bit iffy and Leon Jackson - surprisingly - was OK too! Boring as sin but he did a good performance. Oh and Take That donated £250,000 of their own to the CIN fund. Norma
November 15, 200816 yr how many songs did take that sing?? Only the one I'm afraid! Boyzone sang three and I think McFly sang more than one. John Barrowman apparently sung his song but I must have missed it (don't like the song anyway) but I do like John Barrowman. Norma
November 15, 200816 yr Author because they are poo and need to do 3 as 3 songs are nearly as good as one of Take Thats lol
November 15, 200816 yr YAthey need 10 mins to make an impact where take that will do in 3,,,,i wonder what album x factor will benefit the most for take that i tink it will be ultimate collection but them perforing next saturday should help them clinch an 11th number 1 the week after
November 16, 200816 yr YAthey need 10 mins to make an impact where take that will do in 3,,,,i wonder what album x factor will benefit the most for take that i tink it will be ultimate collection but them perforing next saturday should help them clinch an 11th number 1 the week after Well according to that 'almost Saturday chart' thread ... The Ultimate Collection is set to re-enter the chart well within the top 40 anyway next week (for some reason it is there as a re-issue on HMV for week commencing 17th November). Just a ploy to put more money into Simon Cowell's pockets - as isn't he tied in with Sony BMG - and they still own that album + conveniently timed for him that TT are on his show on 22nd. Norma
November 17, 200816 yr well it will also add to take that's sales tally and that im happy with There's no way that Take That can be in the X-Factor studio live on 22nd! They're recording their own show this coming Friday & Saturday ... so it'll either be a live link or a recorded insert. I think the live performances will be from Same Difference and Rhydian. Norma
November 17, 200816 yr but if they are recording for their own show for itv they may be in the studio next door and just pop in
November 17, 200816 yr but if they are recording for their own show for itv they may be in the studio next door and just pop in But the filming for their TV Special is in Manchester this Friday and Saturday. X-Factor is from London. If they are on it it must be by some sort of video link or recorded. Norma
November 17, 200816 yr MAYBE THEN its just a take that theme night and someone else is performiong but if so that would be weird
November 20, 200816 yr Author Take That have been forced to pre-record their appearance for Saturday's X Factor because they had already signed to sing on another show. The group recorded their performance of new single 'Greatest Day' in advance to allow them to appear on another ITV programme in Manchester. X Factor bosses will inform viewers that the performance is not live in order to avoid possible criticism. "Originally the idea was to insert the pre-recorded performance into X Factor and make it seem like it was live," a source told The Sun. "But with all the TV fakery and voting scandals, the producers decided it’s best to come clean." JLS will perform 'Back For Good' on the Take That-themed week, while Rachel Hylton will cover 'Rule The World'.
