Mindblowing...

So many points that are interesting. Firstly is the whole Ben vs Widmore issue. I really don't know who to believe, and it seems to be very ambigious to me, the writers don't want to see us take sides. But for the first time I actually believed Widmore. Abbadon, is he really dead? I still don't understand him entirely.

What Desmond said about all the characters being pawns on a chessboard I really agree. John Locke is a major pawn, both Widmore and Ben want to use him because he's special, although we still don't know why he's special. The Locke & Ben scenes were very moving too. I don't know what to make about Locke's death. Ben didn't want Locke to die until he mentioned Elouise Hawking, and when Locke said her name, Ben killed him. I think it was fate Locke died, he HAD to die for the island. I definitely think that Ben killed him for good reason, as he was a proxy for all of the Oceanic 6 coming back.

I've missed Walt so much too. He's the original 'special' one, and his cameo wasn't long enough, but it was very interesting. I wonder if Walt can see the future? I so hope he goes back to the island at one stage.

From the episode i'm guessing Jack, Hurley, Kate and Sayid are stuck in 1970s? and Frank, Sun, Ben and Locke are all in the present day.

Btw another observation. I'm pretty sure Richard went through a Locke esque Jesus rising, which is why he can't age, so I think Locke is going to be the new Richard...

Amazing episode. So much to digest. If you start to think about all the issues that this episode raises then your brain starts to hurt....

Interesting point, the opening of this episode was originally going to be the opening scene of season 5 but they changed it to Daniel in the Orchid for some reason.

Both are massive wtf moments, but this would have been even more confusing. I'm guessing that the credits would role when Ilana spoke to Locke?

I can see why they chaned the last episode and this episode around as well. It makes much better sense this way imo.

Now THAT is why this is my favourite show ever.

Brilliantly produced at the same time as great writing.

Good to find out more about that guy who is also in fringe (forget the name  ). So glad we got the whole clan back on the island again now, but wish we had Walt aswell. The Walt scene: great to see Walt again, but pointless much? that scene just, there wasnt anyting answered or explained in it and it didnt create any more questions, it wuld be better if we could see more Walt.

I trust ben over Widmore, theres just something about Widmore that screams bad guy where as Ben although he isnt completly good he just does what is best for the island.

Cant wait for the next episode as it will be all island stuff but i want to know how they will be able to get back into the same time zone again.

I like the idea Locke may be the new Richard, i wonder if Richard's origin will ever be explained? i hope so.

you dont get this sort of quality on Heroes...

what Chris Cain from We Are Scientists had to say...

LOST last night: why was Kate speaking Russian the whole time??? JJ Abraham needs to stop assuming everyone watching is f***ed up on acid.

 i love him and his twitter updates.

Erm, yes, they don't want that we take someones side, to trust Widmore or Ben. And I really don't know now, who is good one? And who's bad? Or both good, or both bad... I can't wait to figure out that.

It seems to me that Ben didn't want to kill John, but when he mentioned Elouise, that changed his mind. And Ben wants to keep John alive, otherwise he wouldn't keep his body all time.

I wonder, will John do anything to Ben now? And is Ben seriously hurt?

what i think is that after Locke said he needs to die Ben thought it was nonsense but then when he mentioned Ms Hawking he realised Locke was right, i dont think Locke will do anything to him i think Locke will think that it 'had to happen' and that sort of crap.

I've just watched the Locke and Ben scenes again, and wow. If BOTH of Emerson and O'Quinn don't get Emmy nominations for Supproting Actor then there's something seriously wrong.

I think that scene is probably the most powerful scene i've ever seen on Lost. It properly moved me the 2nd time I watched it, and I don't get moved by things at all. :| I could feel John Locke's pain, and how he believes he's a failure. I had read a theory about Ben was always going to kill Locke, but he just didn't want Locke to commit suicide as that is the ULTIMATE sin. Locke = Jesus now on the show, and i'm sure he wouldn't have been brought back to life if he killed himself. But I don't buy that theory. Ben changed so much (amazing acting from Emerson btw) when Locke mentioned Eloise Hawking, and Christian specifically mentioned her name when he told Locke how to get back to the island.

Seriously i cant believe how good Lost is, that episode really made me think it, definatly the best thong on TV BY FAR. As Roo said, the acting particulay from Micheal Emerson and Terry O'Quinn is just plain amazing!!! And the writing is just... i dont even know how to describe it, the storyline is brilliant and its just GAAH too good! Lost in my opinon is perfect TV, it has about everything i need drama, a little bit of sci-fi and the odd comedy momment (Hurley  ) And the pace is excellent, i cant believe how fast it can make 40 minutes go, most TV shows have me bored at least at one momment but Lost just keeps me stuck to the screen every momment.

After this series i am gonna go back and watch it all from the start! So i can recapture the brilliantness of the show. Where as some how all other shoes seem to dissapoint me in one way, Lost has never dissapointed me.

I also agree about great acting from firstly Emerson, and O'Quinn.

I don't think it's any coincidence that other actors when acting with them give their best performances too. Namely Matthew Fox. Everytime he shares a scene with Terry O'Quinn he acts so well, when normally he's just OK.

I felt like strangling Jack when he was talking to Locke, he can be so annoying and whiney.

This episode was definitely a whirlpool of events, and its gotten even more confusing. I do like that we dont really know who the bad guy is. I think they should resurrect Ms Krux, she had evil written all over her

I think the mysteries are what's the best thing about Lost tbh. Take Abbadon, now that we know about it him it's not that big a deal. But saying that he's still very much surrounded in mystery, but I don't think we'll ever get to find out about him. And imo the real bad guy (well, not really guy!) is the Dharma Initative.

 Probably.

Will we find out more about Dharma in next episode, Namaste?

I'm so getting LOST with the series  just seen the Locke and Ben episode, marvellous acting, I do think Widmore is the bad guy in all this, one question though was Penny born on the island

Something else got me thinking could have Charles Widmore and Eloise Hawking had a relationship

and had a son and a daughter Penny & Daniel

think you could be right there =0

i dont think we have ever seen penny's mother either (or we have if its Hawking).

It wouldn't suprise me if Daniel and Penny are brother and sister (or half brother and sister at least).

I'm still waiting for the moment Claire finds out Jack's her half brother. Hopefully that'll come next season though, that is unless Claire's still trapped in the underworld.

Is claire ever actually going to be back? there is unanswerd questions concerning her now.

She's on a holding contract. She's not contracted to appear this season, but she's confirmed by the producers to be back next season.

lol sawyer + julliette, how obvious.

but what really got me that episode was, i really thought something was going to be explained, but then they moved times.

THE f***ING STATUE. we need it explained.

  • Author

I wasn't really too fond of the episode. It was a bit confusing. I deffo hope they explain how they all to get the jobs they got. I noticed the lack of Daniel in the future though?

I'm not too sure I like the Dharma stuff. Hopefully it'll grow on me.
