i think Josie and the Pussycats actaully started off all the Hilary Duff/Lindsay Lohan thing. but without the ears.

The Archies with Sugar Sugar... ok, so it was TV, but still...

Also, not a real band in the sense of a REAL band, but they did get into the charts. Number one I think.

In regards to films, I'm shocked and stunned that no one has mentioned Spinal Tap yet!?

"But you see, they all. Go. To. 11...."

(stillwater were choses as they appear in the film rather than it being a 'rockumentary', however false!! nore: the mcfly comment was a joke )

Point taken, although the "rockmentary" Spinal Tap is still a fictional film about a fictional band.

well thats why i said however false after it. dont know if there is a buzz work for a rock ducumentary thats a spoof.

sprockumentaty? perhaps?

HAHAHA.. Sprockumentary sounds like some kind of Star Trek Spock turned Rock'n'Roll star related affair. LMFAO! Well, he did have that Bilbo Baggins song once upon a time. Maybe it could document the rise and fall of that little chart-topper?!

No, I think the term "Rockumentary" was actually used to describe the genre of Spoof Rock Documentarys anyway, but i could be wrong.

I like Sprockumentary actually.
