Posted November 13, 200816 yr Hendrix drummer dies Source: MW 11:13 | Thursday November 13, 2008 Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell has died at the age of 61. Mitchell, the last surviving member of the celebrated Sixties band following the death of bass player Noel Redding in 2003 and Hendrix himself in 1970, was found dead yesterday in a hotel room in Portland, Oregon. He had played a gig with a Hendrix tribute band in the city. Reports suggest that Mitchell died from natural causes Mitchell played in the Experience from 1966 to mid-1969, later backing Hendrix at Woodstock.
November 16, 200816 yr If there really was a 'heaven' it would be nice to think that the Jimi Hendrix Experience could now finally reform and jam for all eternity..... Sad news indeed that all these fine musicians from this epoch-making, incredibly influential band are now no longer with us.... :(

November 17, 200816 yr THERE IS SUCH THING AS HEAVEN... :heehee: I take it you're being ironic.... ;) Nah, it's a nice story, but that's all it is... Reincarnation, I can more readily accept... There's actually a bit of evidence to support that hypothesis, such as people speaking languages under hypnosis that they've never spoken in their lives and speaking of past lives in such incredible detail and historical accuracy.... And also, you have to wonder, where does our consciousness go....? Seems to make more sense that it might go into another body rather than we all float off to "heaven" or "hell"..
