Shes a little bit weird no? The Terminator - Sarah Connor Chronicles and Serenity are the only two things ive seen her act in and ive got to say her roles are pretty similar... She acts as a pretty gormless mysterious "thing". When i see her in usual episodes of The Terminator, i do sometimes wish that she would take roles in which she would be able to show off her acting abilities more instead of acting wooden all the time (even if it is part of the character description)... Although, watching the latest episode of TTSCC, "Allison from Palmdale" she shows a LOT of potential and i would really like her to branch out her acting skills...

So what do you think?

Does she stick to these gormless roles because she plays them so well and "you shouldnt fix what aint broke"?

Or, is it just the lack of supporting roles for up-and-coming hollywood stars holding her back?

 

(Serenity is a GREAT film btw recommend to many users of this board (Made by Joss Wheadon (i think thats right :P) of Buffy fame)

I find her face (and facial expressions) very weird. She always acts so coldly as well.

She sometimes reminds me of my younger sister with those huge round eyes :lol:

She's a very pretty girl, but her acting abilities are questionable it has to be said... She basically appears to just play exactly the same character in "Firefly/Serenity" and "Terminator...", ie a character detatched from the rest of humanity. In "Firefly" she's detached because of her mental abilities, in "Terminator..." she's detached because she is a cyborg... I think she's in serious danger of becoming typecast - "oh, we need someone to play this detached oddball, hey, let's get Summer Glau.." :lol: I think she needs to take on a more varied role, something completely different to prove that she can actually act... It does seem strange to me that Shirley Manson can also play a Terminator and show a lot more personality in the role....

Shirley Manson does rock that role :wub:

 

Although i stand by my comment about last nights episode, i think in some scenes which flashed forward to future when she was being kept hostage she done brilliantly. I hope they give her more scenes like that.

Just saw her in The Big Bang Theory and lets just say that it was Summer being... Summer :lol: Ok she played herself in it but she didnt really act any differently to her other roles :lol:
