Its been confirmed for a while now, shootings done and now they are into post. Apparently the graphics are gonna be something that "has never been seen in a film before" but how do you think the 3rd sequel will fair? Christian Bale plays the iconic John Connor and Jonathon Nolan writing [The Dark Knight]. Already two more sequels have been announced to follow on from this film with Christian Bale returning for both sequels.

Im a bit tired to say my views at 2:40am but ill say tomoz

There is already a topic on this, I posted it earlier in the year.

The film is going to be the summer's blockbuster next year.

^sorry didnt realise.

Im not too sure if i agree with you on the summer blockbuster tbh...

I think Harry Potter might still have that crown...

yeah but the difference is Harry Potter will be $h!t.

Hmmmm, I'm not quite sure how this will fit into the "Sarah Connor Chronicles" timeline though.... Unless they plan to have it as some weird "alternate universe" type of thing...

If Cameron aint involved though, it's gonna be a bit pointless... The third film was terrible, and he was right to slate it and remove his name from the credits.... I liked the fact that the "Terminator" series completely short-circuited that whole concept that T3 came up with....

Will this be set entirely in the future...?

hmm i am curious about TSCC linkage now, i do love that show though. i have got to say McG made $h!t films in the past but i think he shall be pleasing this time, especially with Christian Bale as John.
Yeah i think so, i think its set in 2013 or something...

urgh.... if thats true then thats abit disappointing, it should be set in 2029, where the original terminator and Kyle came from.

urgh....

I agree... 'Tis a bit stupid to set it any earlier...

And hasn't "Sarah Connor Chronicles" actually set Judgement Day as being in 2012.....?

Didn't watch the Sarah Conor Chronicles for fear that it might f*** up the whole story worse then T3

Sorry, apparently its set in 2018. Dunno where i got 2013 from sorry.

Statement from WB:

Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind

I actually think it's vast improvement on T3 personally.... It actually makes more sense if you think about it... John Connor was born in 1984, so, by 2029 he's gonna be about 45... Tis a bit old to lead a revolution.... "Sarah Connor Chronicles" has John missing 7 years by jumping from 2000 to 2007, so, in 2029 that would make him approximately 37 years old, which makes more sense than having an old geezer almost 50 leading the revolt.... Christian Bale is roundabout that age, mid-30s.... So, the question still remains, why the hell not just set it in 2029....?

TBH i think it's been done all abit too late, they should of done T3 alot closer after T2 (but with more thought put into it) so Arnie wasn't too old and this one also closer (possibly made around 2000). I'm hoping the T-101 makes a cameo appearance, as well as Hicks i mean Kyle Reece (even if Michael Biehn is abit too old as well) as it co-inside with the original film and T2. Growing up watching The Terminator and T2 i feel it would have to have Arnie in somewhere or it just wouldn't be a Terminator film.
just set it in 2029....?

actually thinking about it, they could put it before then.... 2029 is when the first terminators and saviours are from, surely there had been lots of fighting and c**p before then?

Werent they like gonna digitally place Arnie's head on a younger guys body to make him look younger lmao? or is this just tabloid trash as usual...

Well that looks like a cute little movie, especially with the same wonderful false voice Christian Bale did in Batman. :|

Eh. Definitely not going to be the smash of the summer, for that honor, as has been said, belongs to Harry Potter.

as well as Hicks i mean Kyle Reece (even if Michael Biehn is abit too old as well) as it co-inside with the original film and T2. Growing up watching The Terminator and T2 i feel it would have to have Arnie in somewhere or it just wouldn't be a Terminator film.

Well, the series is coping perfectly well without Arnie, so I dont really see it being a huge loss tbh, and it would just be ludicrous, Arnie would be more "Pensionator" than "Terminator" these days... Besides, Arnie is far too busy running the state of California at the moment.... The Terminator series has also managed to find a pretty fair Michael Biehn look-a-like to play Kyle actually, so perhaps he could be used to play Kyle in the film....
