Saw Flashdance last night. Surfice to say I wouldnt like D to do it. A lot appeared to be on tape especially some of th chorus work. The background is very sombre - a steelworks - very loud and the leading lady was replaced by an understudy whose voice I couldnt stand, it was very much wa wa like donald duck and jarred my ears. Noel sullivan from Hearsay had a reasonable voice but only one song and just a lot of standing around. In spite of that he got the best response at the end. My local critic who I usually go by said he was outstanding whic h to me was a joke as he didnt have much to do. The dancing was strong if you like hip hop- lots of arm waving and break dancing but not much footwork. The one song that was strong was what a feeling. I have to say yet again that my fair lady and oliver done by the amateurs was far far superior in talent.Thats the second show on tour for me that didnt cut the mustard. However Shout starring Sue pollard I enjoyed mainly because she is capable of carrying a show on her own and has a huge singing voice.

She's done well hasn't she. My Mum used to watch 'Hidy Hi' or whatever it was called. Not my cup of tea and she was the worst part for me. I suppose it coloured my perception of her. Since then she has shown she's far more than was apparant in that Tv series.

Have seen her on loose women twice and she was a hoot. She has such a personality. m y friend has met her seversal times when she was appearing in Torquay as she used to go to the same beach cafe and even there she was a hoot clearing the tables and and shouting out the orders although she was just staying nearby.. She is appearing in panto at either swansea or cardiff but she is playing the dame which is a bit unusual but she will be good. She is getting on a bit but still the same energy.

I suppose it's all comparable - Noel probably was outstanding compared with the rest of that particular company. As the Guys and Dollscritic said it's much harder for lead performers to be outstanding when all around are talented and vastly more experienced. I really admire the way Darius has fearlessly risen to the latter challenge.

IMHO Noel does have a very good voice. I'd say he was pretty much a favourite from the beginning of Popstars a nice, respectful, good looking Welsh boy with a good voice who didn't rock the boat - perfect for moulding, unlike the equally polite, good looking Scot with a mind of his own.

Noel went through a very rough period after hear'say split up so it's great to see he's doing well now.

I forgot to say the whole cast had to adopt american accents.N oel just about managed it but at the end he made the speech without a trace of a welsh accent. I think the problem was that a couple of the supporting artists accent was very good therefore some of the others stood out as not.

Another thought, I read earlier this year that Noel was appearing in las vegas so he has at least been gaining experience.

Sometimes the put on accents really get my back up particularly in touring productions.

I hasten to add that that was certainly not the case with Guys and Dolls. It was a brilliantly strong company, maybe because many came direct from the London production or from other WE shows. Every understudy I saw during its run was excellent.

I'll agree there. I saw pussycat dolls on 'Loose Women' yesterday. I'm not too keen on the song but they interviewed really well. I should think that'd increase their sales. they came over as intelligent and good people. Mind you, I have always liked their style.

How come p*ssy Cat Dolls got to sing on loose Women when other guests rarely do?

Most who go on there mime dont they, it has looked like it to me.

DS have in their news Duncan james is to appear in the Bill. Come on what about some news somewhere that D is to appear in hotel babylon.

The Bill is a bigger programme isn't it. Anyway, Darius has proven himself as an actor whilst Duncan hasn't yet.

According to DS Natasha Eli stone has been cancelled.

They haven't actually said it's been cancelled......yet. What ABC have said about Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy money is that they are not commissioning any more episodes at this time. I think they're probably just trying to let the fans down gently.

Perhaps if there's an outcry from one set of fans, they will reprieve that show. If they do I think it would be Pushing Daisies which seems to be more popular in the US. I watched one show and hated it.

I quite enjoy Eli Stone. It's good to see the significance of the rather strange visions and I love the humour. Johnny Lee Miller still seems very insipid to me though.

It's a shame that every time Natasha does well in a series and seems to be making headway, the show gets cut and she's back to square one. She Spies, Commander-in Chief and now Eli Stone.

A lot seems to depend on what channel it is shown on. The sci fi channel which eli stone was on didnt seem to get much attention for instance on DS yet other cult shows did shown on other channels.

I'm pretty sure Pushing Daisies was on ITV.

Eddie Izzard's show The Riches with Minnie Driver was cancelled a while ago too. He's looking into producing it as an independent film. I quite liked the episodes I saw of that too. I hope we'll get series 2 of Eli Stone. If so, we can go on enjoying it for a good while longer.

My Mum can't get Sci Fi. I don't think she'd like Eli, to be honest - she seems to lose the plot of anything very easily. I'd miss it. I too hope we get the 2nd series - although I'd prefer less ads.

Stephen watched pushing up daisys but thinks it was on a sky channel.

I've set the sky box to tape eli stone....just hope it does as it missed the last 2 :(

The BBC have decided not to give Bonekickers a second run. Why am I not surprised ?

I only managed to watch the once........and that was because I was at my daughters and her husband watched it...so not a great deal of choice unless I went to bed...

I only saw bits of a couple of episodes. It seemed pretty good. I'm waiting for repeats. I'm enjoying the similar Sea of Souls on Sci Fi atm. I was trying to remember a nother series like them. The lead male was an ex-priest I think and Samantha Janus was the female in the show. I think another character had some mental health problems and had gifts associated with them. It's all a bit muddled in my mind - probably not a bit like I've described.

Could you see Darius in a role like in something like that? I think he'd be great especially if his character had quite a dry humour.

'Williams is reportedly currently in negotiations with Simon Cowell to become a judge on The X Factor'.

It seems Robbie is once again courting publicity.

Everytime I see a photograph of Richard Armitage I look twice, initially thinking it is D.

Carolina, I used to enjoy Bonekickers.....it made me laugh because there were so many discrepances and unintentional mistakes.

Yes I could see some sort of resemblance there but only when Darius stands in a particular pose. It would depend very much on which two photographs were compared.

Some pictures of Darius make him look very different from others and I don't just mean promotion pics for roles. However, in the flesh, first sight always takes my breath away.

That's the aura of charisma, something that no photo can ever captuure.
A lot of people seem to think Richard Armitage is dishy. I remember him when he played the fiancee of Dawn french in the vicar of dibley, dont know how he kept a straight face but I think he was also Guy of Gisborne in robin hood. very much up and coming I would say.
