As for the album, I think it definitely won't be poppy, probably a much richer, deeper sound. Like you say Sharon, it's the not knowing that makes it exciting, and the waiting that makes it so hard. Sue

And there is no guarentee we'll like it. I know I don't like all Darius songs and quite a few others have a definate dislike for a couple. I do like his voice as he just sings straight out, with or without his guitar and then it is usually the warm lower middle range. I love some of the higher range as well though as in 'Now or Never'.

 

With what he has sone recently, it does seem to be more likely for him to move away from pop but, he's surprised us in the past.

He certainly has Meg,i 'm hoping for a little bit of each on the album,a mixture of poppy, rocky ,some ballards and maybe some Jazzy ones,OMG that would be so Fantastic!Also with a selection of a bit of everything,there would be something for each of us! :dance:

That doesn't work very well when you're marketing an album, 'Live Twice' is a good album but it wouldn't apeal to most people because the songs are such different genres. People who like 'Kinda Love' wouldn't necessarily like 'Live Twice' and people , barring Darius fans' , who like either often wouldn't like 'Devil In You'. The comments from non fans about 'Devil in You' seemed to have a strong bias towards the negative.

 

I'm hoping for a themed album this time.

I know, we want everything. I feel that's very normal and right. I really just want to hear him sing again.

Excactly Meg,a gig of his new album songs would be very Special indeed :wub: ,i'm glad you knew what i meant :) .......it was Lovely hearing him singing on SOP and at Burns Night,but there's nothing like hearing Darius singing his own stuff,especially when its his fresh new songs! :dance:

Last time I sang that I was in the dining room at school (and we got into trouble).
