Is the dark-haired girl at the back who turns round Kate from the 'Incredible' video - it looks very like her? She is also the girl who has been appearing regularly in the advert for renewing your car-tax!!

 

 

As well as the lovely interview with Gareth, there was a small picture of Darius in last week's 'New' magazine. It was under an article entitled 'Geri's Shock Engagement' - there was a line-up of 9 'Spice Boys' who Geri has been linked with over the past decade and Darius was between Jerry O'Connell and Sacha Gervasi. He was 'linked' with her from October-November 2004.

It doesn't seem possible that it was that long ago - doesn't time fly!! :D

I hope that Geri has found "the one" at last. She's had fame, success, image and money but true happiness seems to have alluded her.

 

I hope that she viewed Darius as just a mate because he didn't seem to see the relationship as anything deeper, and that she wasn't hurt when he moved to LA. With the press writing it all up as gospel it's hard to tell.

There's a small photo of Darius with a Slimming World consultant in the March/April issue of the SW magazine. It was taken after a performance of GWTW. It was a nice surprise!

It looks like Darius and Natasha are spending St Valentine's day in New York.

 

Natasha was taking part in a charity fashion show featuring stars wearing red dresses but she also seems to have modelled other outfits. The pictures are mainly of the show but there are also a couple of external shots on getty images showing Natasha walking along, seemingly escorted by an unknown male (not Darius)

 

However there's one photo which captures part of D's profile. I guess he skipped the show and caught up with Natasha at the after show venue.

In the 'Daily Star' the other day there was a snippet that Lee Mead and Denise van Outen are in talks to be Marc Bolan and his girlfriend in '20th Century Boy'. Marc Bolan is a part that I think would really suit Darius (even though I know Marc Bolan was quite small!) - Lee Mead must be well over 6'! I would love to see D in a 'rocky' musical!! :dancing: :wub:

 

It's nice to see Darius included under the VIP section of guests in the 'Oliver Awards' video on the front page of Dress Circle. There is also a video showing Gareth in Joseph and he certainly looks and sounds very good!! :D

I think Darius's voice is all wrong for Bolan, so when I read the press snippet some months ago about Lea Mead and Darius being at the workshop for 20th Century Boy, my thoughts were that Lea would be ideal for Marc, and that Darius may have been looking at the part of Tony Visconti, rather than Marc.

marc was tiny...LOL I still have the lifesize poster of him! cant see D in that role at all. I have no idea who the ohter character is? What about Mickey Finn...he was tal slim and dark if I recall, wonder what D was oding there? god, I really do wonder what he has been doing career moves wise!!!

Marc's voice was good but quite weak. Darius' producer used Marc's vocal technique for 'Kinda Love' but while the slightly off double tracking suited Marc, it certainly didn't suit Darius' voice. Darius as Marc would be a total miscast. I'm glad he's involved in new theatre though.

T Rex's producer but after checking heights, it turns out he's a smaller guy than

I thought he was. I guess he was standing and the others sitting in the pictures I'd seen.

 

Bolan was apparently 5ft 7, Lee Mead is 5ft 11 but otherwise I'd think he'd be great in the role.

 

Darius? I'll have to give that another think.

I was shocked to read that Will Young's new single will be his last ever physical CD.

 

Normally I wouldn't have given a toss but I think that decision might also apply to Darius.

 

Will's album, and presumably the singles from it, are on 19 Recordings, the same bunch with whom Darius still has his recording contract.

 

I can understand why Simon Fuller et al may have taken the decision. The demise of Woolworths and Zavvi has left a huge hole in the retail market and physical singles are costly to produce and aren't selling in anything like the numbers they did only a few years ago.

 

I hate downloading. I love having my collection of CD singles and I don't think downloading the single and one or two b-sides will mean the same to me, even if I can get it all technically right and end up with playable CDs.

 

I like the artwork, I like knowing who all have been involved in which capacity in the writing and production of the songs. I like looking at them on the shelf, handling them.

I posted that on the interchange thread when I first read it - I have read Robbie Williams is going the same way, I seriously have worries that Darius will not get another physical single etc.

 

Mind you since first reading it I am being cynical and thinking its a sales ploy, as his singles and album arent doing nearly as well as his ohters...rather like these artists who have "last ever tours" to get fans to make the effort while they can!

 

sales of physical music seem so alrmingly low though, I dont see how they make much money.

I take it they will still do a video and promotion.....

 

I'm going to have to buy some good blank CDs for recording onto.

 

As long as you can still get the album......I would still like an album to hold

evidently Wills LIG single is the last one to be released on CD, and its limited to 5000 copies....I forsee a fan frenzy LOL

 

I suppose they will still do the videos etc, its all promo and they can sell them to the video channels? although videos are horrendeously expensive to make arent they, and seeing I keep reading that returns are so poor
