Perhaps he's over here auditioning for some fantastic new role or working on the album :music: One can but dream! Sue

Lovely to see Darius. Thanks Delphi. Wishful thinking again on my part! Sue

It's quite refreshing to see Darius without the stubble and with short hair again. It makes him look younger.

Now can we have a bit of height on top, please - the Colourblind 'brush' or the Rushes' soft spikes would be nice.

That style suits me......I'm not fuss like some

Sue....it's good to dream.....keep doing it, you never know it may come true :)

Nice.

Not so nice was an article by the Scottish comedian and TV presenter, Hardeep Singh Kohli (Sp) in the Guardian which in passing, said something about England and Scotland sharing the same cultural lows - Steps/Darius Danesh.

I can only assume he's talking about that Popstars moment or he knows nothing about Darius.

Thanks for the link, it's always good to read nice things about D.

As for the other, it amazes me how they never get tired of having a knock -----pathetic.

Yes. I was wondering exactly what his/the definition of culture is.

Respect for the traditions and heritage of one's country and religion? Darius would pass that one with flying colours and in regard to 2 cultures, not just one.

Breeding/manners? No problem there with Darius either.

An excellent Public Education /Oxford/Cambridge? Glasgow Academy is a respected fee paying private school and Darius turned down a place at Oxford to go to Edinburgh.

Love of the high arts (Opera and Shakespeare, often cited) - Darius did more than just go to a few operas. He actually performed in them, bowing out from a career in Opera after singing on the Covent Garden stage itself. He also studied Shakepearian theatre in depth at university.

Love of literature, music, theatre - there's plenty of evidence of all of that.

e.g. Do you remember that time a journalist from a broadsheet tried to catch Darius out because Darius had said he liked The Great Gatsby, and Darius quoted a whole paragraph to support his point.

I do and it even made me consider reading it....not done it yet...seen the film though

Mum was watching Alan Titmarsh and I came in while a girl was singing - it was Sarah Whatmore - she has a new record out on the 15th march. I couldn't believe it.

I remember reading about her having a new single out quite a while ago. I'm not sure if this is the one I read aboutor a follow-up to it. I just can't recall the title of that one.

I think she'll need to have an energetic publicity campaign unless it's a remarkable song and it gets lots of airplay and TV plays.

Sarah has never played the media game. Maybe she's just not comfortable with that idea, with the loss of any privacy. However, being ubiquitous seems to work for plenty who have very little perceivable skills or talents, so if fame and money is what she wants, that may well be the way to achieve it.

I saw this programme and Sarah but didnt recognise her. She looks more like the girl next door and this is her second single release, presumably an albumn to shortly follow. I also saw Nicky chapman who was a judge on Popstars and Pop idol. She said she was still with 19 and had looked after the spice girls on their tour.I fail to understand why in connecti9on with 19 we hear regularly about other acts under their control i.e.WG, GG, MEL b, cat deeley, rachel stephen s etc etc but we dont hear about D so I asked my husband what he thought and he said its obviously his choice and I do wonder that. Its is five years this year since the releae of Live twice.

I saw Nicky Chapman on something too. I think it was a cookery programme. To be honest, I heard the show but didn't listen.

It seems to me that more and more, 19's means of publicity for clients is to shovel them on to things like DOI, Strictly, I'm A Celeb etc. or exploit the huge opportunity of fashion/ make up shoots and lots of red carpets in gowns for female clients.

I doubt if they have enough attraction for Darius to make him leave Natasha and the boys to come over here for months.

I don't think her look or the song will help Sarah. I thought she had a lot more potential than they show. I did recognise her.

There's so much competition for female singers. They definitely seem to be in the ascendency, more than male, mixed groups or male artists.

Maybe Sarah was dressing down - I don't think it'd help. I know she has a good voice and this just didn't show it. It's such a shame.
Although her original look for her first video was more sexy, I still feel that the song it represented was very strong - When I lost you. I remember humming it every time I heard it. I think had she had the promotion that certain others had I think she would have broken through with that song. As it was it charted at no.6.
She doesn't move that well. Maybe she'd be shown better playing an instrument. 'Live Twice' seems ages away. To thin that this time last year we were expecting to at least have the chance of two albums.
Five years since Live Twice was released!! In some ways it only seems like yesterday and yet looking back it seems ages ago. So much has changed in my own life. Please let there be a new album before too long. Sue
