Michael Jackson is said to have hundreds of unreleased songs. I think Darius must certainly have scores of them. I'll believe he's concentrating on his music, when I see him back in the UK gigging and getting new songs out to audiences.

 

If indecision and chopping and changing his mind about styles has been part of the delay, surely feedback from live audiences is one way to separate the wheat from the chaff if he's too close to the songs to do it himself.

 

Sounds a great idea to me....I'll certainly tell him which I'd like to hear :D

I'd try and get there. Another few months would be easier though - but I wont begrudge you lot going.

Where would be the harm in putting on one of the demo songs in its entirety? For me, preferably Save Love.

I find it strange the songs on his my space have stayed the same for so long when he has quite a few B sides to choose from Tear run dry I think would be nice. I know someone else requested that on his my space but it hasnt happened and it seems that generally things are standing still. Surely a change of songs on my space site would be beneficial to him.

A report on WOS says GGs Joseph is closing early. There is also a thread running about leads not appearing every night which I would love to reply to but know it will mean more jibes. quote - no lead in a west end musical does every performance - Fact its one of the reasons why an opera production isnt performed on every evening, the voice is a delicate instrument and needs proper rest. D never missed a performance either Guys and dolls, chicago or GWTW. It appears that a majority of the leads etc in other musicals do miss performances in fact quite a few of them do.

I'm not sure if he wasthere in 2005 but I think he's been there every year bar 2008, when he was otherwise engaged last year, running himself into the ground, rehearsing to turn out his best dramatic performances ...............as yet.

Probably lack of sales. Most seem to be putting out offers though, not just Joseph. It's still booking until July. When was Gareth due to finish?

According to the grapevine on DS extensive building work is already in progress at the Adelphi Theatre in preparation

for Phantom 2 to open in October.

Gareth had a week's break booked for the end of May, but this may now be the end of the show.

In a recession, luxuries like theatre and eating out are bound to suffer.

 

I think the part of Joseph must have been very difficult to fill after Lee Mead had such television publicity, because of which

so many people booked to see him. Now the initial rush is over attendances have apparently been falling off.
