I remember buying 'Colourblind' and finding 'Chrysalis to Butterfly' on the 'b' side. I was in heaven. I didn't have the internet then.
I keep hoping that he may be in the running for a role in either of these shows - apparently an announcement is due on 7th May re Phantom but whether this

will relate to the casting I don't know.......

That would be fantastic if he was! Sue

It certainly would be Sue! He'd make a Fantastic Phantom!
The new Phantom is to be staged in three countries virtually the same time, one of these is TORONTO. Canada.

Any news about this? Sue

Because ALW has his own group of favourites, i.e John barrowman, lee mead, ramin kariloo etc etc and many others, not much chance I feel, would not want him to be doing a new show again for obvious reasons prefer tried and trusted on the next occasion.
But when the new show opens there may be openings in the current show.

The opening of Love Never Dies, the long-gestating sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera that was previously scheduled to premiere at the West End's Adelphi Theatre in late October or early November, has been pushed back, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

"The plan now is for it to open in the spring of next year according to the London paper.

The original London cast will likely be led by Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess, who have previously respectively played the title role and Christine in the London and Las Vegas incarnations of The Phantom of the Opera, according to the report.

A recent casting notice offered this brief description of Love Never Dies: "In 1907 New York, the mysterious 'Maestro' who runs the theatre at Coney Island announces a one-off concert by legendary Parisian soprano Christine Daaé. Her arrival in New York with husband Raoul, Victome de Chagny and son Gustave, and their subsequent meeting with the 'Maestro,' bring the cataclysmic events of 10 years earlier at the Paris Opera crashing back into all their lives."

I don't feel the need to see the new one as much as the old. Still, I've got 'til spring to change my mind.
Generally on various sites I get the feeling of negativity beforehand on this before they have even seen it a bit like GWTW received. A lot will depend on the music itself. I still think Rhydian will pop up somewhere here be it existing Phantom or new one or even Lee mead. Apparently during Rhydians tour last night Lee mead made a surprise appearance doing a duet with Rhydian but as you say there will have to be changes at some time but both parts will be vocally challenging and there will be a lot of competition for them. Maybe D was in london for auditions.

On Rex Features there is a photo of Darius, Natasha and one of the boys, taken May 12th 2009....doesn't say where.

Can you bring it over, Meg.

Sorry, it wouldn't let me. This is all I could do.
