But why didnt they show his face. I find it odd especially when a thread on DS entitled Famous people you have forgotten about mentions him a couple of times.

I don't think she was stroking his face at the time. Lots of people have forgotten Darius. Theatre doesn't cause a stir among the majority of people and he's done very few gigs - most of them have been private so, to a lot of people, he has disappeared of the face of the Earth.

 

As long as the songs on the new album are as good as rumour has it, he wont be on the list for long.

I found a blog written by a fireman over on Google Trends yesterday and apparently Darius was a VIP at the '22nd Great Amazing Childrens Party' at Battersea Park on 1st July together with Des O'Connor, Elaine Paige, Paul Young and Linda Robson....... I wonder if he is still here and if he is what is he doing??!!! I just wish the media would 'pick up' on something!

 

Also, a bit of trivia.... Darius is no. 84 in the Google Top 100 Key Words/Hot Trends..... that must be good,... I think! :D

Was it just Darius or Darius Danesh. It'd be a nice surprise for him to tell us something before we read it in the news or that it had happenned already.

Cant understnd why he doesnt realise that even a small bit of publicity for him and for us to see it is surely to his advantage all round.

There are lots and lots of photos of this on a site by a photographer Colin Hampden white but I couldnt find any of D although the other stars mentioned were all there. It was for leukemia.

It would be something he would support. shame there are no pics.

Like alot of celebrities Darius does attend charity events and functions etc without announcements. It goes to show how things are done from the heart and not for the publicity

We do realise that - doesn't stop us having a moan though. I think if we'd had anything notified in the last year we may not moan as much. He's always supported charity and I think most of us respect that in him. I'm just feeling a bit fed up, hence the moan.

I do admire him for that.

 

But I too support charities and also him, so putting the 2 together would be good :D

Is this the first year we're not had a chance to go and see Darius perform somewhere? Sue

 

This year is not over. Some of us have had the opportunity to see Darius onstage every year since 2001 when he performed at Live and Loud and sang Mockingbird , a month or so before he auditioned for PI.

 

Some of us could have seen him at the Burns Supper this year, if only we'd known sooner.

 

 

We still have neartly half a year to go.

I think it's right for the charity and its people to be the focus at its fundraising events or awards etc., not those in attendance, whether famous or not.

 

It's a differeent matter where Darius is one of the celebrity spokespeople charged with raising awareness of the work of the charity. On those occasions he willingly does interviews and photoshoots etc. and gives generously of his time and talent.

Twice when he was later than he should be while appearing on musicals, it's been because he was taking part in a charity event. it's been a part of his life from well before tv appearences.
