Yes Claire, he will be 29. WOS doesn't often get things completely wrong so I'm hopeful but not expectant. I'd love to see that again.

If that had been now, I'd not have seen it at all. I did see it with Patrick Swayze as well though.

There was a thread on wos in June or so which asked if there was a UK tour of G & D now that it was closing on Broadway and someone said they thought there would be, because the amateur rights had been withdrawn. Later, someone said that the amateur rights had been restored, indicating that maybe there wouldn't be a UK tour after all.

 

There was also the rumour that Guy Ritchie had got permission from the Loesser estate to do a film and there was talk of Jason Statham and Justin Timberlake starring in it. That rumour ran rife on the net for a while and eventually some spokesman for the rights holders stepped in and said the rumour about Guy Ritchie was nonsense. He said that something was indeed going on re Guys and Dolls but it had absolutely nothing at all to do with Mr Ritchie.

 

I rather think that something could have been 3 days of concert performances of G & D at the Hollywood Bowl, which in fact took place a few days ago.

 

Maybe there are plans for that production to come to the UK led by UK stars......... maybe if we're lucky, Darius himself.

 

OT Natasha is scheduled to join Ali Landry and Estelle at an event in Las Vegas tomorrow.

I'm glad she's doing so well. I'd rather see Darius for himself though.

Ditto Meg. Am a bit fed up with reading about her and what she is doing and nothing about what he is doing. The relation ship doesnt seem to be holding her back yet feel it does him. I realise that she is the star in america yet in the latest report she says he loves to perform and people like to hear him sing so why doesnt he get out there and do just that, She must have some influence out there for him to get exposure surely yet it doesnt seem to happen. Rant over.

We all know Darius. When/If he is ready to concentrate on his music and decides to do it in America, he will be determined to do it on his own merit and under his own terms.

Fine by me - just as long as he gets his finger out. I could do with being cheered up.
