November 22, 200816 yr IAMX... Not exactly a new band though, they've got two albums out - "Kiss and Swallow" and "The Alternative"... They're fronted by ex-Sneaker Pimps singer/writer Chris Corner.. Quite sexy/dangerous.... Think a more glammed-up, rocky/synthy version of Soft Cell....
November 24, 200816 yr Yeah, IAMX aren't bad. Findo Gask seem to be worth checking out and I'd recommend Wye Oak and The Brute Chorus too.

OTOH you could buy Uncut/Mojo/Relix/The Word/les inrocks - gives you a CD and something to read on the bus/train - Paste was good for new acts but Paste is going digital from an issues time and having no more CDs - so i guess that will no doubt have a block on it for non North American servers so you wont get those tracks
November 30, 200816 yr i'd second Findo Gask. 'One Eight Zero' is a great song, its out in a week or two Yep, had a chat to them in the pub before their show yesterday and they're all great guys. Their live show is ace too. One Eight Zero's out next Monday and it's their first since the killer 'Va Va Va' last year.
