what previous fav tracks of yours have been ruined for you and why?

 

ok a bad cover is the obvious reason, but is there anything else? over-exposure? re-release?

I loved "Angels" Robbie Williams when it first came out, when radio ignored it. Then, of course, it got flogged to death, and now I could happily live without ever hearing it again

All these terrible Mary J Blige "Be Without You" covers, especially the dance ones :puke2: Another one would be Madcon's Beggin' as that is terrible :mellow:

Just about ANY cool old 70s Disco or Funk tune that gets a bloody Dance-Beat remixed onto it by a bunch of two-bit hacks (or Fatboy Slim).... UGHHHHHHH :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

 

I seem to remember a pretty damned abominable remix of The Cult's "She Sells Sanctuary" doing the rounds some years back... Terrible stuff.....

Agreed... Absolutely fukkin' TERRIBLE.... I really just do not get why Pop acts seem to want to pretend to be all "rock/metal"....

She did indeed. But blame Rupert Everett more for that one, it was him that actually put the idea in Madge's head in the first place... <_< She kind of realised just how sh!te it really was, and didn't even bother to put it on her "Greatest Hits Vol 2" collection (and not simply because it was a cover, cos "Dont Cry For Me Argentina" is on there)... So, yeah, says everything that really dunnit....? :lol:
