Heart warming, life affirming and really really good fun! BOOZESOUKI OUZOVISION XMAS SPECIAL Cossack Disko does Eurovision! Yes we have decided to extend our love of Eastern European music to the darker side of musical sense and celebrate the world of Eurovision. DJ Ezhaan takes us on a journey through the highs and lows with tunes from Sweden, Norway, Greece, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Latvia, Armenia, Moldova and more! Sample the delights of ABBA, Verka Seduchka, Andreas Lundstedt, Anna Vissi, Sakis Rouvas and Alcazar... Feel free to dress up as Euro Santas! Or don the glitter! Or look as ridiculous as possible! We plan to have a laugh! A prize to the best dressed is guaranteed.... DJ Ezhaan - yeah! Ezhaan is a DJ, Producer, Sound Engineer and Drummer - the former 'Sounds from the Souks vs Jazzamatazz' turntablist, 'Halo Lounge' devotionalist and beat provider for electro-arabic outfit Majhoon. He has worked with some great musicians including Portuguese solo artist Teresa Gabriel, Spanish musician Rafael Marchante, The Wikets, Alejandro Toledo & The Magic Tombolinos and the Indian Carnatic violinist Viji Natarajan in collaboration with percussionist Pirashanna Thevarajah. Tonight, though, we have discovered his cheesy side - Ezhaan plays Eurovision! DJ Penny Metal - wow! The lovely Penny Metal is the original ethno cyberpunk DJ! She plays an irresistible and eclectic mix of tunes from Russia and Eastern Europe, to a backdrop of old Soviet advertising posters and Russian cartoons. And welcomes you to the dancefloor with a lusty "Oi Oi Opa!" Tonight she pulls out all the stops for this Xmas special and plays some of her finest Ukrainian pop tunes, polkas and russian ska! In lederhosen! Ooer! The Jester Bar is dark and snug and perfect for drinking vodka and dancing wildly as the cold nights draw in..... Saturday 13th December 2008 The Cross Kings, 126 York Way, Kings Cross London NW3 United Kingdom 9pm - 2am Entry £3
