Thanks Dave!

Agreed 100% Actually it's pretty accurate. I'm sure there were only two or three changes I needed to make last week between Friday and Sunday before I could work out the Bullboard chart. I might do a little Bullboard projection tonight, if anyone's interested...

Tell you what Tom, do it the 10% airplay quota, 90% sales. It would then be actually totally equivalent to the original MRIB Chart. If you want to send it me via email, please do.

I think you`ve hit the nail on the head. If you see the film, you lose the atmosphere of the stage production. That live stage production is just amazing.

Exactly! The atmosphere was a main thing it was lacking! I also found the songs a bit quiet or something by memory, probably because they're so loud and amazing in the West End musical. Then nobody in the cinema got off their chairs and had a bit of a dance! But heyy, that hardly happens in the cinema. I've seen a whole cinema of people get up and dance only once.

Wish I never had read this thread now.

Well so much for Britters Being Close to TT :)

Ok Ok all...I think my optimism's completely run out now!

She better make #2! :D

Well hats off to TT...They could even sell 500k it really wouldn't surprise me!

There was some standing up and singing at my cinema, and in the North East of England that only usually happens at football :) Must admit, although I'm a big ABBA fan, and loved the movie, I never got around to seeing the musical :o

The Take That 'Circus' Pre-Order story is all over the Internet.

However, the 'Record pre-orders' are for PLAY.COM ONLY. They

are not across the entire UK.

But - taking the Play.com story out of context, various Sites are

now even predicting that the Take That Album will be:, 'The biggest album ever'.

Even if 'Circus' did have record advance Sales across the entire UK, you cannot

predict from that, that the Album will be the biggest seller ever. It will not be.

Not even in the UK, where it will sell more copies than anywhere else.

1) In 1980 'Super Trouper' by ABBA, became the first Album to have a Million

'Pre-Sales' in the UK. It is not even in the Top 100 Best Selling UK Albums.

2) Nor is 'Welcome To The Pleasure Dome', by Frankie Goes To Hollywood -

that had about 1,150,000 'Pre-Sales' in the UK in 1984.

3) 'Be Here Now' by Oasis, had at least 1,200,000 'Pre-Sales' in 1997, & even that

was 'only' the 84th All Time UK Best Seller, in The OCC's November 2006 Top 100

'All Time UK Albums'. It had 1,799,784 UK Sales in that Top 100.

The new Take That Album has been announced to only have record Pre-Sales

on Play.com. It seems very odd that this is being used to claim that it has them

across the entire UK, & that it may even end up as the UK's 'Biggest Seller Ever'.

I think that a lot of hype is going on over this matter.....

I really recommend it. Wasn't my favourite musical i've seen but nevertheless very very good.

The pre-orders mean nothing anyway! It has been reported that it has overtaken the record held by Coldplay ... and as we know ... Coldplay's album hasn't even made the million mark yet ... and it has been out for months.

There is too much hype surrounding everything right now ... Take That, Britney and Leona to name the three 'most in the picture'. Having said that ... the hype surrounding Britney lately surpasses anything I've seen. Bloody hell ... anyone would think she'd died and come back to life. And I don't mean to upset her fans at all ... she may be a great entertainer ... but like Madonna ... she isn't a particularly great singer. I honestly don't think there are any great singers around anymore.

I predict Take That will easily have the top first-week sales of the year, maybe 400k, then sell 250k+ each week until Christmas, topping a million by Xmas day.
Shall we end with the top pre-orders?

The Singles:

01 I`M OUTTA TIME - OASIS 1ST

02 GRACE - WILL YOUNG 1ST

WILL YOUNG could have trouble...the download released far too early...Will they learn...get it?! OASIS should be positioned in the top 5. And will ENRIQUE miss with AWAY?

Great punchline, but not many Will fans will find it funny, oops I gone and said will -_-

Anyhow back to the chart, thanks for posting as always, its one on my favourite threads on a Friday evening, taking a sneak peek of what could be.

Will's single download hasn't been released yet, it's out on the 1st and 2nd December, it's the album track that's been downloaded these past 3 weeks. I don't think he'll make the top20 though, as he's not had very good airplay with Grace.

It doesn't matter really now if it's from the album or a digital single if the song is exactly the same. If the single version is a bit different to the album version then it can add some more sales, if not then a digital single release means nothing.

There are 2 remixes and a live version coming out tomorrow or Monday. I'll be getting all three. I know i'll prefer the live version, I always do when it's Will :D The re-mixes I'm curious about. Then there's the physical, with a stonking B side this time. I'm hoping for top 20 taking this into consideration. Pre-sales of physicals have kept up for weeks now. I'm not expecting better if I'm honest, airplay hasn't been good - radio one continue to act as if Will doesn't exist at all  In fact it's amazing that LIG is still hanging on with pretty good sales 9 weeks after release.

I wouldn`t be too concerned about Radio One`s playlist. I`m sure Will will be ok without Radio One support. I do think he will squeeze into the top 10, anyway. Look at the like`s of McFly...who need`s airplay on the dreaded Radio One!

Well, I hope you're right Dave, although I'd be even happier if LIG goes up several places in the albums chart :D

Dave if you are still around can you answer a question for me. Is it down to the label which albums are discounted? A lot of albums released after Will are priced a lot lower at a number of outlets yet Let It Go has had a price increase in a number of stores.

Can't see Grace going top 10 though I think it deserves to but would love to see the album climb but I'm concerned that his album retailing at £3 to £4 more in Asda, Woolworths & Smiths will put off buyers.
