In Holland we don't have 'Boxing day'. We have a 1st and 2nd christmas day. Which is handy for dealing with your parents and your parents in law. A christmas day each.

 

I always look forward to the holiday season in December. But is never as good as you anticipate. And New Years Eve is the worst when you're single.. :drama:

 

I just love the idea of christmas.

 

it's between xmas eve and day for me.

they are 2 of the 3 best datys of that tiem of year (the 3rd being my b-day in the 15th :lol:) it's nice spending tiem with your family, watching tv or cooking dinner ^_^

i agree that the holiday season is nver as good as the anticipation but i do enjoy it at the same time but i have to go with x mas eve as my daughter does be so exited wuth the thought of santa coming and its always a fabuloys family time and christmas moring likewise

younger children are always so excited at this time of year and parents need to be OTT for them but as we get older, we care less about presents and more about having a nice quiet time.

Boxing Day! Its when we always have the whole family together and a great party!

boxing day is great to plus no dinner to cook as we just plate up dinners on x mas day that will do for boxing day so we just have to hit th emicrowave so we play with the toys and watch tv all day and have a few drinks in the evening

we always go to family on boxing day, no cooking at all

then it's turkey sarnies till march :lol:

we always buy a small turkey and a huge ham i love having the ham cold and i eat loads of eat it then end up drinking loads to kill th ethirst!

we get a big turkey even though it is only the 4 of us :lol:

 

i do like turkey but with loads of stuffing and gravy

i hate gravy and will only eat proper meaty stuffing not that horrid oatmeal stuffing

stuffing made from potatos and breadcrumbs is my own fave and i eat loads of of and croqutes also

sounds quite yummy

 

no xmas dinner is complete without little sausages wrapped in bacon

i cant stand them but everyone else i know loves them

tesco are doing an offer on them at the moment!
