December 9, 200816 yr With 83k sold according to Tuesday midweeks, I just made a new thread on the Chart Chat forum and wrote this: I got it wrong last week when I said those high flying Take That guys would break all records. But the Circus Monday sales was 21k above the average daily sales last week, or a third higher, and we are getting nearer to Christmas. Could this be record breaking second week sales for an album?

I was just having a quick gander in the BJ Library for first two week sales of Coldplay's VLD. At the end of the second week, Coldplay's album had sold 500,052 copies, while Take That have sold over 515,000 copies of The Circus in just eight days! Mind you - Coldplay's sales did start to slow down terribly and it seemed to take an eternity for them to get to the million ... I'm hoping Take That don't follow that trend. At the end of the day though, if by end December they're in the top 5 albums ... then that will be the third year running that they've been in that position! Good going lads! Norma
December 13, 200816 yr Author Great week in Ireland The Circus climbs 2 places to number 1 Greatest Day climbs 1 place to number 2 Rule the world climbs 8 to number 37 Ultimate collection climbs 8 to number 61 Beautiful world climbs 6 places to number 66 Last week they appeared on the ryan tubridy show in ireland a show that is running for 5 years and gets great ratings but last week having take that on gave the show its highest rating ever of over 650,000 which is huge for ireland likewise the take that back in town was shown on tv 3 i dont know its ratings but it all paid off Funnily beautful world made a numbe r19 debut in ireland and about 3 weeks after its release they appeared on another irish chat show the late late late and the week following the album went number 1,,im well happy they have another number 1 album now in ireland.

I hope it doesn't take Robbie joining them to succeed there ... if so - personally I'd rather they failed now. I feel it may just be shy of the million before Christmas - but they'll still be number 3 in the year-end chart and they should definitely have the Christmas Number 1 album.
