The article basically says that while Beyoncé expressed her desire to sing at the ceremony, it seems Shakira has already been invited. Maybe a Beautiful Liar performance could be in store...although that wouldn't be very appropriate for a new president.. Edited January 13, 200916 yr by Ashley
December 3, 200816 yr Author This site says she's writing a song for him, although I don't believe it. http://guanabee.com/2008/10/barack-obama-t...hakira-is-1.php
December 4, 200816 yr "i know things about him that you wouldn't want to read about" not really appropriate, so i'm prety sure no BL performance! writing a song just for him would be a great gesture, she has time to come up with something simple all about the lyrics then i say go for it. but who knows her schedule.
December 5, 200816 yr Author Perez and Latina magazine are now reporting it... http://perezhilton.com/2008-12-04-shakira-...uration#respond Looks more and more like it could be true.

January 15, 200916 yr excellent! WW would be great to get people dancing and the energy up or "the day and the time" if she wanted to be more serious or "pure intuition"? doubtful though  all appropriate lyrically but we'll see. just not HDL again.
January 17, 200916 yr Author Looks like she won't be singing one of her songs. There are rumours that she's performing Higher Ground with Stevie Wonder and Usher. There's some pics here: http://www.shakiragallery.com/album/details/4340 of rehearsals. Edited January 17, 200916 yr by Ashley
