Brand new funky dance track featuring the vocals of soul singer Beverley Knight and Bryan Chambers. Its not really my kind of thing, far too handbaggy disco-house for my tastes, but thought I'd post it anyway.

Ah finally a radio edit of it. I just couldn't do the 7 minute version.

It's not really my sort of thing but I'll happily take anything with Beverley on it and it's good to hear her on a different type of track.

I think as far as dance tracks go, I much prefer the amazing "No More", the Roni Size song.

Oh yeah, that's a great track. I've heard it a couple of times and I always mean to download it because I love Beverley but I always forget.

Anyway, I didn't know if you were aware, because you opened the post with "brand new", but this is a cover of an early 90s song which is probably why it's a bit dated:

Sound Of Blackness - The Pressure (1991)

The original is ace, better than this version though.

It's nice to hear Bev on a decent track though! She hasn't done anything great since her Prodigal Sister days.

Yeah I know it, but its still a brand new track :P Not a fan of the original either though

I guess it depends how you define 'brand new', I wouldn't particularly describe a cover as 'brand new', the full version has been lingering around for a few months as well.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the original either, it's a nice enough song but I don't think I'd listen to it if Beverley didn't feature on it.

 I happen to think she got better after 'Prodigal Sista', though 'Made It Back' and 'Greatest Day' are both really good tracks.

Nah, that "Prodigal Sister" album is a class album, very under-rated in my opinion. Unfortunately, she sold out and resorted to bland adult pop for the Radio 2 demograph. One or two post-Prodigal Sister tracks are decent though... I saw her live at Glastonbury 02 and she was outstanding! A shame she isn't given better material...

I can see what you mean with the 'sell-out' comment, she was far less commercial before the 'Who I Am' album. I just happen to be a fan of her material from this decade as her 'adult pop for Radio 2' appeals to me more despite me not considering myself to be a Radio 2 fan.

I'd love to see her live, hopefully she comes near me next year.
