Posted June 12, 200619 yr They were brilliant with their blast of Italia House. "Don't You Love Me", "Touch Me", "Girl To Girl", "Got To Be Free" and "Rockin' My Body" have to be my all time faves. They were excellent.
June 12, 200619 yr Touch Me was great. Still ironic how you love some Italian Dance act who's selling point was having a female "singer" miming to old Aretha Franklin samples. Yet singer/songwriters who have performed up & down the country (like KT Tunstall & Sandi Thom) playing live gigs who write, record & co-produce their own material you regard as having no talent. <_<

June 17, 200619 yr Author ........... funny how some people never change their posting style.... <_< So what if a female singer was miming to an Aretha Fraklin sample. Look at Black Box's "Ride On Time". There was a female singer miming to a Loletta Hollway's "Love Sensation" and that even made number 1 back in 89. No question of it, 49ers' "Touch Me" was a classic.

June 19, 200619 yr Author Touch Me was a classic - the rest was regurgitated garbage. I thought "Girl To Girl" and "Don't You Love Me" were excellent singles. "Don't You Love Me" did incorporate samples from Jodie Watley's "Don't You Want Me" which is another one of my fave songs.
June 22, 200619 yr it was actually the same bloke who was Cappella (and probably anticappella as well) Gianfranco Bortolotti Yep, I think he was also behind Francesco Zappala, DJ Professor, Antico and Mig29. In fact.... http://www.discogs.com/artist/Gianfranco+Bortolotti
June 22, 200619 yr cappella were another great act of that time i loved there album and i was lucky to get it on cd about 2 years ago as i had it on cassette
July 4, 200619 yr Hmm, QFX were way after 49ers...and they released that godawful Freedom song about 40 times too.
