What are your favourite new albums released this decade by bands or artists that have been around for the past 20 years or more.

Forget any greatest hits collections or re-issues.

Tbh it's pretty difficult, as not many classic rock bands are still going. (During now/00's), and ones that have been released have been pretty poor.

If anything, my favourites would be Aerosmith's 'Honkin On Bobo' (Okay, it's a covers album, but a bloody decent one [best thing they've done since the 70's]) and most probably recently, AC/DC's 'Black Ice' (the format is the same, but that's always worked in their favour).

chinese democracy

haha,

Although tbh, ignore the fact that it took 15 years, and think of it as a Axl-solo project, and it's not a bad album. (It's just that he insists to continue to "GnR Brand".)

if it was done in 2 years and under the name Axl Rose, rather than gnr, it would actually be pretty good.

Saxon - Inner Sanctum

Was bought up on Saxon, one of my fave groups ever, then they went a bit $h!te towards the 90's but they were well and truly back with a bang with Inner Sanctm

Also like Josh said, Honkin' On Bobo by Aerosmith, loved their versions of some 60's songs

shouldnt this be in rock alongside david gilmore...as post 2000 is not retro* its more a heretige thing and therefore if thats the case you could just talk about the new albums by depeche, pet shop boys etc etc (tho seeing in here does get legitamize Scooter and Status Quo - so not actually complaining)
