February 25, 200916 yr No.9 for BWO :P I thought you didn't like it much! love the Velvet song  It's grown on me at bit I guess, Even I Was surprised to see it at #9 however, haha.. In the mid week I had it around #20 - #15.. Velvet will rise, I just found the CD Version of it  Edited February 25, 200916 yr by Aaron.
February 25, 200916 yr I think that Semi 3 is quite bland tbh! :( Hence i don't impress any attention to it, i haven't even listened to the entries properly! :o

Velvet will rise, I just found the CD Version of it  it does get better with each listen to be honest :D Velvet's song is great, I found the HQ version of it a few days ago  could be quite big in the UK if promoted well, not that she would probably ever release The Queen here...still, BWO got their Melodifestivalen entry into the UK top 75 last year so why not!?!
February 27, 200916 yr 1 Minute Clips have surfaced for the next round. Agnes is a little boring, but powerful. Maria Haukaas Storeng's duet has potential - but is lacking something, with a strong finish, it would probably qualify. The Rest, Meh.
February 27, 200916 yr Out of everything I've heard - the only ones that stick out in my mind were Alcazars', EMD and Mans.. Obviously Velvet as well - but not all the songs I like could qualify I guess. ;)
February 27, 200916 yr Out of everything I've heard - the only ones that stick out in my mind were Alcazars', EMD and Mans.. I can easily see this being the top 3, and to be honest I can't think who would win out of them...Alcazar's song is strongest but the other two acts are currently more popular
February 27, 200916 yr I really liked Maria's duet  Susanne Alfvengren - Du är älskad där du går 6.5/10 Next 3 - Esta noche 4/10 Star Pilots - Higher 5/10 Anna Sahlene & Maria Haukaas Storeng - Killing me tenderly 8/10 Malena Ernman - La voix 8.5/10 Agnes - Love love love 7.5/10 Sarah Dawn Finer - Moving on 7/10 Thorleifs - Sweet kissin' in the moonlight 4/10 Star Pilots sound similar to their old stuff really! :( And not bad for the first song on the list ;) Thorleifs sound too dated for me :(
February 27, 200916 yr Alcazar's and Mans' songs are standing out for me atm. Hope either of them wins
February 27, 200916 yr I'd be happy with either of them winning. EMD doesn't really need it. Mans will release a new album regardless. I think Alcazar would benefit most from the win.
February 27, 200916 yr who do we think would do best at Eurovision? Alcazar, Mans or EMD? I can't see any of them troubling the top ten :snif:
February 27, 200916 yr EMD I think actually, they seemed very polished and had a good image. Personal favourite is of course Alcazar. But Alcazar can maybe trade Katrina And The Waves style on old pop fame. Scarily it's about the same amount of time since Crying At The Discotheque then it was since Walking On Sunshine when it was Love Shine A Light's year!
February 27, 200916 yr Crying At The Discotheque is 8 years old now, the difference between Walking On Sunshine and Love Shine A Light was 12 years don't forget Alcazar's 2004 UK top 20 hit 'This Is The World We Live In' :P and they have remained successful in Sweden throughout!
February 27, 200916 yr Personally - I think Mans would probably do the best in Eurovision. I think Alcazar has the best song, but it has a strong potential to go all very wrong (ala Charlotte, Gisela last year). Mans would be fairly safe, he's marketable, hot, and the song is decent. I don't think he would win - but he would do the best. Probably the best from what I've heard so far.
February 27, 200916 yr I think Man's song and performance are very old fashioned, I actually see Sweden not qualifying if they pick him. Sorry... Out of this week's songs: Good: Star Pilots - Higher (not as good as In The Heat Of The Night, but better than The One And Only, not sure how their live vocals will be though) Anna Sahlene & Maria Haukaas Storeng - Killing me tenderly (not bad, but not as amazing as I hoped, a bit High School Musical) Malena Ernman - La voix (great vocals, and good schlager beat - I hope she can do it live though!) Agnes - Love love love (very 80s, a lot like Velvet and Lili & Sussie before it - so it could go either way!) Meh: Susanne Alfvengren - Du är älskad där du går (old fashioned, but then again she looks about sixty) Sarah Dawn Finer - Moving on (listened to it five minutes ago and can't remember it) Bad: Next 3 - Esta noche (total rip-off of German/Spanish group Marquess) Thorleifs - Sweet kissin' in the moonlight (Sounds like an ABBA tribute. In Swedish. By four old guys)

Probably the best from what I've heard so far. same with Mans I would say though, Hope & Glory is melodically quite similar to Hero in my opinion, but is obviously like you say a lot more marketable than Charlotte E.M.D. I'm on the fence about in terms of Eurovision suitability, boybands don't usually fare too well do they
February 27, 200916 yr Bad: Thorleifs - Sweet kissin' in the moonlight (Sounds like an ABBA tribute. In Swedish. By four old guys) sounds like Wizzard too -_-

If it was a girl band however singing a similar song, Everyone would 'gasm over them.. Kinda like Serebro, I didn't see the love (for that particular track)

February 27, 200916 yr see I did love Song #1, and not just because it was by a girlband  but I also love Baby Goodbye  It is by far the best thing they've done.
