was looking around at different hong kong action things action things when i noticed thast Edison Chen is gonna be in the new Grudge film. After becoming one of the most famous people in HK, releasing loads of cantopop records and appearing in films such as Initial D (頭文字D), The Twins Effect 2(千機變II) and Infernal Affairs (無間道) (not to mention the quite ropey Gen-Y Cops too   ) i was wondering does world domination for him starts here? the start of a massive career in hollywood? or will he just be another Chinaman from Canada  playing a small Japanese part? (yep could be Geisha yet again :yahoo: !!!!)

Plot Outline from imdb: In Tokyo, a young woman (Tamblyn) is exposed to the same mysterious curse that afflicted her sister (Gellar). The supernatural force, which fills a person with rage before spreading to its next victim, brings together a group of previously unrelated people who attempt to unlock its secret to save their lives

The Grudge was one of the rare occasions when the American remake was actually better than the original Japanese one.

Even though it had Buffy in it. We won't hold that against the film.

I'm actually looking forward to another one.

I prefered the Japanese film, but then again i saw i before the remake.

however suppose for a lot of European viewers (or even people used to HK action) it might be too slow as Japanese film s tend to go at their special speed (like also lost in translation  which lots of people thought boring).

however both still 10 times better than (the not Japanese) into the mirror. so hopefully in this case the remake of that will liven things up

I really couldn't stand Lost In Translation. It wasn't the pace of the film, it was the content of the film. I found it was just horrendously lame. Like "oh please..."!

I was looking forward to it as well, and it was such a let down for me.
