Could she be number one next week? Could take that hold their lead on airplay? What about Boyzone or a surprise climber? Come back next week and find out! Oh and by the way... With help from davetaylor (cheers Dave ) I've compiled a new chart, the Bullboard Fresh chart. This is based on current sales, pre-orders and airplay, and excludes anything that's been constantly falling ourside the top 10 for two weeks. December 8, 200816 yr Author Sorry, but I have no airplay data before 1991 :( Thanks for reading and posting though. What do you think of the Fresh chart?
December 8, 200816 yr Sorry, but I have no airplay data before 1991 :( Thanks for reading and posting though. What do you think of the Fresh chart? I quite like it - very now, modern, and current - showing what people are currently hearing and future hits in the horizon! Oh and the UK Airplay Charts Of 1990, by the way. ;)
December 8, 200816 yr Author Cool, thanks! I'll check that out later. Question is, would you like to see the Fresh chart instead of the main chart, or as well as or neither :o
December 8, 200816 yr Sorry but Leona with 131K is always first this week even if adding airplay I guess
December 8, 200816 yr Author I know what you're saying, but if you check the link at the top of my first post, you'll see that this is based on a 50-50 sales-airplay balance. This is largely because I don't have raw data available for the airplay (exact number of listeners AKA listener impressions). If I did I could be more scientific, but it's really just an example. Anyway, airplay can vary a lot from sales - X Factor - Hero is the biggest selling single of the year, but it only peaked at 6 on this chart and never made top 10 on airplay AFAIK! This chart is designed to resemble the US Billboard Hot 100 (despite the name) which has the opposite problem - a song can be number one on sales, and yet never chart in the combined chart...
December 8, 200816 yr Cool, thanks! I'll check that out later. Question is, would you like to see the Fresh chart instead of the main chart, or as well as or neither :o Both please. Whatever your heart desires. :D
December 8, 200816 yr Author Cool :) I've been experimenting with the chart a little bit, beacuse the interest in it seems to be decreasing. But as long as you are reasing it, it's good enough for me :)
December 8, 200816 yr Author Just posted amazing new logo courtesy of Russt68. Thanks Russ Thanks for the link Jason Priestley, or whoever the hell you are this week :) Retro will be posted ASAP.

December 12, 200816 yr Gotta admit, lately I sooo like this Bullboard chart idea  Should be fun when Tom will have the time to publish little by little, a thread with the charts since 1989 until nowadays... As far as I know, that's the beginning of the Airplay in UK  xox.
December 12, 200816 yr Author Awww, thanks Corny :D Didn't know about 1989 though! I don't have the 1989 data right now, do you have it? Right now what I have begins in 1990, which is how I've worked out number of weeks, because the airplay charts were AFAIK only available since November 1990 (and at that point they were called the Playlist charts0. Apparently Radio 1 had an airplay chartshow in the 70s that I'm trying to get the listings from...
