Aww bless, this just goes to show, that if you have a rough start in life,it can turn out with a very happy ending :D .I think this story is Amasing Meg, thanx for sharing it with us
My Nan had a stroke when she was 90. Everyone took turns with her that could. I leaned more about the family then than in all the other years I'd known her. She was given to a family in exchange for horse feed when she was a child and was to be in service to them for her life - and then ended up marrying the youngest son. Amazing what you hear about.

It sounds like it could be an episode in Larkrise to Candleford. It's really interesting when you think what people from that generation have lived through. Sue

A different type of life to our own completely. I also found out that some of our forbears on that side were orthodox greek.

I've just moved the last 2 days posts over to 'Interchange thread'

Please can we keep to 'what should you be doing' to this thread and leave general talk to the Interchange thread.

Thanks

Paying more attention to where I post?

I think I have been doing what I should be doing..........taking advantage of the rare string of good weather to go out. Today I went for one of my favourite drives alongside Loch Lomond up to Crianlarich and back through Callander.

It has been beautiful. I just feel I should be posting wherever I am when the thought strikes.

Mum had a mini stroke Thursday morning. 48 hrs on and she's very nearly back to where she was Wednesday night. Since she's doing so wellm I should be getting ready to try her walking down the road again.

Sorry to hear that Meg. Glad it hasn't caused any major problems and that your mum is still making progress. What caused it, do they know?

I should be going out into the garden to finish tidying things. I made a start yesterday, but only managed a small area, things take so much longer now. The weather was lovely.

Sorry about posting in the wrong place, just got carried away! Sue

I should be clearing a backlog of paperwork. I've been hard at it for 2 hours and I'm flagging so I thought I might get second wind if I came on here while I had a break and a cuppa.

Your post has just reminded me that I should have put my last post on this thread and not the 'Should' thread. Well, fair exchange is no robbery, so

I should be cooking dinner.

I should be walking the dogs before the chicken finishes cooking.

My husband has gone off on his bike....do I take the flowers and card to his mum now when I go round with the dogs........or wait till we see her for tea...............

Ooopps too late with the answer.

Thought the flowers would be better in a vase than in a bag.

Triffle is done, chicken cooked, prawns defrosted...........I should be tidying the kitchen....

A child or husband should have been tidying the Kitchen - it's your Mother's Day as well.
Claire washed up after tea but I made lunch, washed up after, hoovered, did three loads of washing. Mothers day or not, the chores still have to be done. I should be making my lunch and tidying the kitchen.

I agree Meg but unfortunately for some it isn't so.

I found yesterday particularly hard.

The minature rose bush I gave mum last year is sprouting just fine and should produce some lovely roses soon.

That will be good to see.

I should be folding washing.

Pam, I dread to think how I'll cope without my Mum. My thoughts are with you. Have a cyber hug.
hugs from me too (to both of you)
