I should be making chocolate trifle which is what i'm going to do now if you want to come round and have some.

I would if I were near. I've got to start Sunday dinner soon. I'm here instead listening to my son play guitar.

So would anyone with any sense at all. My Mum, after a lifetime as a chocoholic doesn't like chocolate anymore. She doesn't iron either though.

I am now going out for a bar of chocolate while she's sleeping. Dane got attacked by a staffi whose owners knew he was unpredictable. Dane was bitten and shaking. I don't believe in hurting animals but I ended up kicking the other dog to try and keep him away from Dane. Why his owners didn't have him on a lead when they had no control over him, I just don't know. Dane is even more clingy than normal and absolutely exhausted and shaking.

Meg, that's horrible! How badly bitten is Dane? Is it a trip to the vet's? As if you haven't enough to cope with. Sue

He's not bad enough for the vets, thank goodness but he was shaking so badley I thought he was going to fit. if i hadn't kept myself between him and his attacker and kept the other dog away, it'd have been terrible. He just is scared to go out and just wants to curl up and sleep. I'm lucky I didn't get bitten but the other dog was avoiding my foot.

I think that I was more frustrated that I couldn't kick him hard enough to make him go away and with my dog, terrified, leaning on my legs, it was even more difficult.

It sounds like you were very lucky not to be bitten Meg, but you wouldn't be thinking about that during the attack. Poor Dane, he must have been really scared. Did the owners of the other dog see the attack and if so what did they say?

 

By the way, just realised what thread I'm in, so when I've finished on here I really should be sorting through some drawers that are full of rubbish and have needed tidying for ages. Boring I know! Sue

OMG sorry to hear about what happened to Dane,thats awful :( ,thank god he wasn't too badly injured!.He must of been terrified though bless him(hug)How is he now Meg?Is he able to go out now?

He's a nervous wreck. We took Mum out in her wheelchair and he had an accident while we were out. His whole system is out of sorts.
